Yes. On the *premium* track. You need to *pay* for the *premium* track to get the *premium* rewards, which includes the Auric cells, which are only on the *Premium* track.
And the "fixes" ... OOOHH BOY the "FIXES"!!!!!
In red ranks every single killer that doesn't have Ruin gets gen rushed. Without fail. I've never been in a game as survivor where this doesn't happen.
You're going to want Ruin at that rank even if you're playing Spirit with Prayer Beads on Hawkins, and you certainly want it as Freddy.
You could get lucky and get a pack of 4 braindead blendettes, but what are the chances of that?
There are Self-Care+Urban Evasion players at red ranks, but they usually don't travel in packs because nobody wants to team up with them and they'd have to compete with each other for hatch.
If you're just a casual player that doesn't go past rank 10, then I think going without Ruin is fine. A lot of people just prefer to play causally as killer, myself included.
Anyway, I'm still rank 12 on Killer with Ghostface and Trapper. Stacking bloodpoints for Myers atm.
You'll want to invest in Ruin then. It's the best thing you can do because in red ranks survivors tend to do their 1 objective rather than dilly dally around.
Sometimes survivors will even work through Ruin on maps where the totem is well hidden like The Game. Usually what happens in red rank solo queue is people don't want to work on Ruin, so they try to find it and waste precious seconds doing so. I've learned to work thru Ruin instead of looking for it.
Learning to utilize your time efficiently is important for both killer and survivor at red ranks, but killers are just given no breathing room compared to survivors, so any extra seconds are worth it.
