Feng Min or Kate Denson?
As someone who has been playing dbd for just over 100 hours and are at rank 10 ( I suppose I'm an average joe), which survivor is better? I not confident enough to put money into this game (which I really enjoy) that has extremely unreliable patches ( in terms of balance) and I've grinded up just over 10k iridescent shards before realising I can spend them on unlocking a dlc character. Ace seems bad to me since his only really useful teachable is for a looting build ( just seems awkward I don't usually use items) and both Feng and Kate's perks seem a lot better. So, which survivor should I buy, and why is one better than the other? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance if you answer!

Edit: Actually, i'd also like to hear your thoughts on any interesting builds using their perks too, since i have no idea what build their perks fit into, other than lithe being a pretty good all-around-er.

Kate Denson comes with a "noob friendly" perk which is Windows of Opportunity. It gives you the location of every window and pallet nearby and thus helps you to plan your escape road. Dance with Me erases a bit your scratchmarks when you vault, that can be useful in jungle gyms.

Feng Min comes with Lithe, an exhaustion perk that triggers when you vault a window / a pallet during a chase. Pretty powerful combined with Quick & Quiet (from Meg). I like Technician as a stealth perk but don't rely on it, it will betray you more than often since killers check around gens.

Also, I don't typically make threads so I don't know if this is supposed to be off-topic and if so can someone please tell me how to move it?

It's a thread about the game so it's not off-topic, don't worry ^.^ :reheart:

Survivors are all the same and with teachables being purchasable from the shrine so it wont really matter, it all depends on who you like the look of more, you can get 5 perks for what you have saved up but it can take a while to get the ones you want.

Kate has windows of opportunity but to be honest its not something that you really need to use as once you learn the maps you know where the windows/pallets will be.

Kate also has Dance with me which paired with Feng's Lithe is a really good combination for juking killers, a sprint after a vault while the scratch marks dissapear for 3 seconds can work wonders.

yes i was talking about perks, thanks. I actually thought technician would be pretty good but hey im not rank 1. Windowds of oppurtunity sounds interesting since i only have the general idead of hwere a plallet/window might be and more often thatn not i lose a chase because i cant find one, i suppose it can help me learn maps. I'd also like to hear your thoughts on boil over (is it actually any good?) and alert (i've literally seen no youtubers use it)

Buy Kate if you want to be T H I C C
Buy Feng if you wanna be a kawaii little asian girl
I own and play them both :P
But Fengs perks have been more useful to me than Kates has. (Lithe)

Yes, survivors are really all the same, just skins like you said, but i'd like to see the back of someone new to grind and/or prestige to give me some more motivation to play the game. I can instantly try out 3 perks if i buy a survivor, and im pretty determined to buy one considering im a free to play and i accidentally saved up all this premium currency. Considering i'll only ever probably get one, i'd like to hear people's opinion on the survivor (and her perks) before deciding which one is better. I thought technician was good(apparenty its trash) and lithe is good(apparently is good), but i dont know if any of kate's perks are actually good other than dance with me. If i only need to buy dance with me, i might as well buy feng.

Boil Over is annoying at best (makes the killer runs into walls, removes the red aura when they are very close to the hook), that's it. Alert... I like the idea but it has a huge cooldown, and the wallhack is really short, so it's only useful in jungle gyms where you don't have a direct line of sight IMO. You can try it, though. I always wanted to have a build with Alert because I like the idea of this perk ^^

Gotcha. Looks like the winner is feng, then.

Alert is an ok perk, if you're new to the game and rely on tracking perks to help you avoid the killer then its a decent perk. I personally would choose other perks over it but it depends on your playstyle. When I was new to the game I would run Premonition and Spine Chill together and it helped me a lot against knowing when the killer was coming or where he was.
