Why waste blood points on BBQ Invitations?
As a survivor, you need to get 90 to get the cosmetic. I've played for one day and got 50 in that day, without using a single invitation (or even prioritising the margarita machines over normal generators), and we have two weeks to do it.

Why are people wasting blood points on invitations when it's easy to get 90 in two weeks? Is there something I'm missing?

if you burn the offering, I think you get 4.5k extra bloodpoints for each margarita gens completed .

Ahh, so you can level up characters faster by burning the offerings because you get more bloodpoints than you spend, and also complete some of the bloodweb effectively for free.

It's not wasting bloodpoints, it's earning bloodpoints. The BBQ invitations are like about the equivalent of an escape cake. If all 5 gens that are completed are margarita ones it's like an extra 20k bloodpoints. I would call that well worth the investment of 3k for the invitation.

You get at least 13.5k bp back if you invest in one bbq offering (that costs 3k) and do the 3 available gens in that game. So its a pretty good investment i would say.
But there are some (lots) people that still repair the normal gens..

They spawn an extra Grill Hook and Frozen Cocktail Machine, which helps get more Survivor Chops and Frosty Margaritas to ultimately unlock Pro-Pain and Free Songbird faster.

Plus, it grants bonus Bloodpoints for hooking a Survivor on Grill Hooks as Killer and fully repairing Frozen Cocktail Machines as Survivor.

All that for the price of 3,000 Bloodpoints, which affects everyone... seems fair to me.
