I can uderstand that. But demons come from Christian mythology. Ghostrider cannot take credit for coming up with the concept of demons.
True. I base my logic on the fact that the word demon comes from Greek and Latin, which Rome and Greece was predomnately Christian. Many cultures might have concepts of a demon, but do not call it by the name 'demon', ie: spirits, shades, and other cultures had no name for them like Ancient Egypt.
Then why bring it up?
While we, of course, do not know the ins and outs of demonology, what we do know is that there are many different types, some stronger than others. One cannot rule out a set of lesser demons that have no name individually, but collectively they are powerful enough to be named. Again, if we had a "Demon Naming Rulebook", it would probably help with this topic. ;-)
Another theory I've seen a few places around here is that instead of Ghostface, we get Legion. The mask, head covered by hood. Knife, stabbity stab stab! Is like the survivors almost due to vaulting, ghostface is human. Split personalities etc.
