SWF is not the problem
Survive With Friends (SWF) is not the problem, in itself, it is the Match Making. The devs made the decision to match the Survivors against equally Ranked Killers. Back before SWF, this made a lot of sense. Anyone who was ever new to the game knows how frustrating it was as a new Survivor, much less against a good Killer.

Then SWF came along and 3 Rank 1 players would bring a friend who was new to DBD and they would get matched against Rank 20 Killers. The Killer get stomped and everyone gets to play with one hand down their pants. (Survivor Ranks 3, 1, 5, 20 = Killer rank 20)

I see a lot of people complaining against "Toxic SWFs", and I have felt it too, but the issue isnt really the SWF mode, it is how the Devs have handle SWFs. Solo players are left behind and Killers have to just hope the team just plays the game straight.

If they matched SWFs against Killers of the same rank as the best Ranked Survivor, and gave Solo players more feedback (like they did with the OoO HUD icon) the hate for SWFs would be reduced.

IMHO, the game without SWF would probably not exist. Why the hell would you play a game whose victory depends on cooperation and coordination with no voice, text or any kind of communication? I'm 100% sure, if they decided to remove SWF for a week, Killer queues would take forever because there's zero reward and fun to be had as a solo survivor.

Honestly, if the game was based around the survivors being able to effectively communicate with each other, we could buff the killers to 11 and probably have more balanced matches at higher ranks.
I'd be okay with survs getting voice comms if the game was slowed down to about twice the time it takes now. 3/4/5 minute games are usually barely enough time to get one kill, much less the amount needed to even blackpip.

SWFs use third party programs to gain an unintended advantage over other players.
- What's more, by the License, to which they all have agreed (in order to play DbD through the Steam), they won't use any third party program.

It is usually enough for me to report them for it, and then I receive a message from the Moderator, saying something like Thank you for helping us to keep Steam community clean!

Personally, I don't care, what you all think about it, but it's effective.

You'll get a message but they won't be banned for it, no way. Steam might look into it, but because Discord or TS don't change the game they won't be banned, and Behaviour won't ban them because SWF is too popular with survs.

"Zero reward and no fun being solo"
Dude... the ONLY fun / challenge survivors has is playing solo

What fun is to face Meyers EW1 and have someone scream at the mic "MEYERS IS GOING TO THE GAS STATION!!!!X etc

Playing with friends literally makes the game boring as hell. It's like playing the original Resident Evils with a Bazooka right from the start

Not knowing if you can count on your team mates, not knowing if Meyers is the killer, etc etc is the real fun

The only time "with no friends is impossible" is if you are in the lower ranks... well, that's another issue

SWF literally kills everything... it's like if i used ArtMoney and gave myself (as killer) infinite aura reading or stuff like that and call it "hard" if playing normally...

I don't mind SWF+Mics if the whole game were to be reworked but that's not going to happen so in the meantime, playing SWF is like admitting you're bringing down the console and typing /Impulse101 or /IDDQD... straight out admitting to cheats

SWF is by far the most balancing problem of the game right now. Followed by Nurse. If those 2 things were balanced out the game would be in a tremendously better shape. Whether you want to accept it or not the game was designed and balanced around Survivors not knowing where the other survivors are, what they are doing and where the Killer is 24/7. The fact that they communicate with voice chats and always inform the rest team where the Killer is, what he is doing , what he is eating, his ID number and his DNA is just completely gamebreaking.

Nurse is another sad story that i would also want to be fixed and i mostly play Killer. It's not fun to go against a Killer that has no weakness.

Both aspects are really unfun and should be addressed.

Nurse has weaknesses though.

1) There's an insanely high skill ceiling on her, not to mention her skill floor.

2) She's the most susceptible killer to jukes, LoS blocking and Dead Hard.

Really just the voice comms are a problem. It's effectively every aura reading survivor perk with unlimited range and 100% uptime for free + knowing without a doubt if all totems have been cleansed or not

SWF is a problem. They break the game, literally everything... Killer position, totem position , trap position, killer perk list (even tho they "fixed" it, they used to have that advantage as well) , is the killer camping, does the killer respect the pallets, and the worst of all seperate generator repairment for fast games... I don't know how these people have fun playing for 4-5 minutes, I would get bored to tears. I don't expect SWF to get removed, however some slight nerfs would be amazing for killer playerbase.

You can't detect third party voip unless you install a rootkit... and holy cow you would never see that in here... from where i come, Street Figher, they did that once in the pc version to stop the (still working, btw) cheating in survival mode... OHHH BOY THE FLAK they got.... it lasted less than a week

Shouldn't the Killer be the average of the rankings ( 7.25 ) ? And since it's SWF bump the Killer up a couple of ranks to Rank 5.

A SWF group is matched with a killer that has the same rank as the original survivor who invited the other survivors into their lobby. So if a rank 20 survivor invites a rank 3 friend, they'll be paired up with a rank 20 killer.

SWF should use average rank but doesn't. Just shows you how SWF was a rushed out, poorly planned feature to deal with the constant requests for a co-op mode.

I'm so glad that the forums hate swf as much as I do. It's a good place to vent after unfair/unfun matches.

Wow. No wonder SWF is so broken.
Kawaiian Pizza 21 ENE 2019 a las 1:58 p. m.
As big an issue as SWF is without it the game wouldn't last. I only play this game with my friends becasue its fun with them. I dont enjoy solo anymore and most other people feel the same way.

There's probably something that could be done to help balance it but i have no idea what it would be.

And SWF would never be removed.

I'm part of the problem and realize it. If the advantages I exploit were fixed I'd abandon the game. I don't even really likeplaying it beyond making it lesser for other people.
