Hi guys, I recently watched a documentary about the most dangerous serial killers in history. I discovered that the Dead by Daylight Clown is inspired by a killer who actually existed. His name was John Wayne Gacy called 'the killer clown', he was sentenced to death on May 10, 1994 for killing at least 33 people between 1972 and 1978. on Wikipedia you can find this information '' In version 2.0 of the video game Dead by Daylight a killer ("The Clown") appears inspired by Gacy. I liked sharing this information with you.

Leatherface was based on a real life killer named Ed Gein. Not too sure why he was based off that guy, because they really aren't that similar.

If I remember correctly, he dug up graves so he could keep the corpses, and use their skin/boyd parts to make stuff. The inspiration mostly comes from the fact that the family of Leatherface uses the body parts of their victims to make stuff, not necessarily that they were murderous cannibals.

Most killer stories are inspiried from RL. Except the part when they connect it with the ability.

Also licensed killers are different, because they are exact copies of movie killers, that are inspired by RL killers. It's a completely different topic, because you need to talk about the movie not the game.
