There is no such thing as a threadripper graphics card. There is a threadripper cpu but that's something else entirely. Sounds like you bought a pre-built without understand the components and you got memed

Yeah, there's too much confusion here. Hard to be helpful OP.

Threadrippers aren't the best cpu for gaming, I know I use one myself a 1950x. You only clock about 3.4ghz a core and most games barely use two cores to four. Great for video work or animation though. Graphics card will have more effect on your performance and honestly, even with my 2 geforce gtx 1080 tis with sli I'm getting crashes, stuttering if it doesn't crash, and other weirdness since the update.

On the stuttering part, there's a memory bug in win10 and not everyone is affected.

Sort of like a mem leak, the system is holding standby memory until it's full and clearing a little memory for your active task.

Check in resource monitor if like 75% of your memory is assigned to standby. Can use RAMmap to manually clear it.

1. As mentioned, there is no Threadripper videocard, Its a CPU, central processing unit, not a graphics processing unit.
2. Yes this game is poorly optimised and we will see improvement (also specifically on the front of CPU usage) in the near future if all is well

What GPU/Graphics card do you have and what settings are you playing on?
I have an old 980 gtx and I get 60 fps just fine. Must be something affecting the performance on your machine, hardware or software.

Btw I think the default game is locked at 60fps. You have to edit some config files to get above that.

meh i maxed out a pc. relax. im not 19 and cant build one. its the best on the market. this game shouldbt be a struggle to run.

every other title i play works fine. which makes me feel its a dbd only issue.

I have the brand new area 51 alienware

ooff alienware.... one of them more money then brains type products, no offense.

But yes you are correct, you should be maxing this game with ease, guess we just have to wait for the performance upgrades that are coming.

I do have to ask again though, what settings do you run, what resolution do you play on?

alienware is terrible and threadsipper is not for gaming. 1080ti is nice but if it's in an alienware prebuilt it's probably an offbrand like palit or something rather than reliable and high like evga. DBD is not a CPU intensive game, btw. threadsitter might help with MH:W but that game is poor optimised trash and acts more like a folding@home simulator than game

Uhh, this video is all just wrong. "Closet competitor is the i9" Man, how can they say that with a straight face while discussing the lighting of the case? The I9 has 8 double threaded cores and turbos up to 5ghz. The threadripper hits 3.5ghz per a core.

Maxed settings does not help me much, basically why im asking, the higher the resolution, hte less the CPU matters.

Play at 192x1080p, the cpu still matters quite a bit.
Play at 2560x1440p, it starts to impact things less.
Play at 4k and it starts to barely be a factor at all.

Also, when was the last time you update your videocards drivers?

i love when people say its not for gaming. lol read the title brah. https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/cty/pdp/spd/alienware-area51-r3

alienware is nothing but gaming and game development rigs. this is a gaming cpu. i have always bought these and loved them. again, im too busy and im not 18 years old and in college. im not going to build a cpu at the time. i max out the sex and order it. this should run a ♥♥♥♥ game like dbd lol.

but i dont need haters on alienware saying its not gaming. it is.

i use 3 ultra wide screens if you are wondering about resolution. always on ultra/epic in all games. dbd is the only one i have issues with.
