What the stats show is that Ruin is basically mandatory if killers want to somewhat fight against gen rush. You can't tell the perks balance based on pick rates in a game like this.
About bugs, nobody will disagree with you on that. Everybody knows there are stupid bugs on both sides. 2 examples: Getting stuck in trees as survivor, pretty common. Phantom chainsaw on hilbilly, extremely common.
Bug fixes and Dedicated Servers are getting called for a long time now. So yeah, i will not say anything against that, you are absolutely right on that one.
watch a survivor get hit, run a full loop right back into the killers arms, no amount of good perks is gonna help bad plays...okay thats not true DS and some exhaustion perks still help make up for that
I played a survivor and killer side, honestly enjoying killer more and more lately becuase i'm tired of my teammates going down in 10 second chases while i run him around for 3-4 minutes without anyone doing a gen, without ruin up
Cheating is not a balance problem and there are not only killers who cheat, there are survivors who cheat aswell. So you can't say the stats are wrong just by that.

The problem about premades dying is, some are just trying to get into another game. Their friend died so the others let themself get killed fast so they can start another game together. That is more common than you would think.
And again, DC's are counted as Kills. And we all know how trigger happy survivors are on leaving the game... (Killers can be excluded completely on that one, as I think some dev has said that these games don't get counted as full games by the system)
An issue with that logic is, you kind of need to survive often to be in the red ranks. Dying means getting an automatic silver, which cucks you out of two rank points, which is pretty bad. The logic you’re using is riddled with, oh sweet irony, survivorship bias. The fact that red ranks are 50+% doesn’t surprise me at all, with the way the game is structured. In fact, in light of that information, it might even be a bit on the low side.
