Thrilling Tremors vs BBQ
Everyone seems to be using BBQ, but after actually trying killer out for a bit it seems like thrilling tremors is actually more useful. Unlike BBQ, it doesn't give you the exact locations of survivors, but it still usually gives you an approximate area, while at the same time stopping survivors from making progress for a few seconds. That honestly sounds like a better deal to me than seeing survivor's auras when any experienced survivor expects you to see them and knows how to counter it. What's everyone else's thoughts on these two perks?

It depends,

If your killer has high mobility, BBQ is better.

But if your killer isn't that good at traveling the map than Thrilling Tremors is better

Bbq gives points. But the aura reading has counterplay unlike thrilling tremors

imagine playing killer for a reason other than bloodpoints

Most players use this perk for points.
For me it depends, normally I prefer running BBQ for the points cause who doesn't want 100% extra BP? But ignoring the extra BP gain,

I use BBQ on killers like Hillbilly, Huntress, Ghostface, Michael. Billy and Huntress so I can snipe them, Ghostface and Michael so I can intercept them halfway to hook for an easy stalk and down. BBQ also gives me info on how many survivors are on each gen so I know which one to prioritise with PGTW.

Thrilling Tremors I normally use for killers like Hag and Trapper as they are rather territorial, so faraway gens get blocked, stalling the game while I can setup traps in my territory.

Using BBQ on those killers would be kinda useless in my opinion as I wouldn't leave my territory to chase them so the aura is useless, so I'd rather have Thrilling to at least stall faraway gens.

As for counterplay, yes BBQ has counterplay which is hiding in lockers, and yes Thrilling also has counterplay which is not touching the gen BUT, Thrilling DOES NOT work with Ruin. If a survivor hides in a locker for 8ish seconds, ruin would regress a decent amount of gen time. But if a survivor does not touch a gen and Thrilling activates, Ruin does not work on a generator affected by Thrilling, so yea. If the survivor ignores my BBQ and powers through the gen anyway, then they can expect a hatchet to come flying their direction.

I play for Achievements, then Bloodpoints. No other reason.

Thrilling Tremors is excellent perk on Freddy with Pop Goes the Weasel. I personally prefer Thrilling Tremors but BBQ is your to-go if you want bloodpoints.
