Just like you enter lockers fast, holding Shift (your sprint key).

it causes a sound burst though, like running over a ledge.

Well since I need it to do locker dodges its not that big deal

locker dodges are not worth. The killer either hits you soon after or worse, he grabs you as you go in.

Unless you're full health and using it to dodge a oneshot, you have DS active, or you have Head On it's not really worth it.

You'll avoid the initial hit and then get hit right after you come out.

I my experience, locker dodge is only good against hillbilly. When you need that quick "omg he's already in the dash and he's going to chainsaw me" and hop into a locker and he hits the locker, fast exit, and keep running.

Every other situation has felt like it's in the killer's favor

What about Nurse? Avoid the hit then leg it during her fatigue.
