Ruin. ( Obvious reasons )
Overcharge. ( For not as obvious reasons. It is something I suggest trying out for a while and not just for one or two games. )
Remember Me ( Depends on your style of play. Pair it up with NOED. However I would suggest not using NOED esp in the higher ranks. Unless you are going against brain dead survivors NOED will not live long enough to be active when playing Freddy. )
Enduring. ( Should be obvious but just incase.. Its good for taking some of the pain away from pallet stuns and it also helps with the stun on DS. )
Thanatopia. ( Depends on game style. Personally I do not like it as much but if you are doing a slug style build its not a bad perk to use. )
Nurses Calling. ( Depending on your playstyle it can helo a fair amount. )
Make Your Choice. ( Once again it depends but for the most part its a good perk on Freddy. It does kind of require you to use addons to get full use of though due to its short time it can be used. )
Devour Hope. ( Depends. Its not a perk I would say to use too often since you probably wont get full use of it all that often. )
Save the Best for Last. ( This one is situational. It is a perk that could work great for everyone except for Nurse really. )
BBQ&Chilli ( No explanation needed really. The BP bonus alone is good. Use the auras only as something to help you out a little though since you can easily be mislead by them if the survivor has a brain. )
Coulrophobia. ( Depends but it works really good for a slug build )
Third Seal. ( This one can actually be better than Knock Out. People do not expect it and it works really well if you know how to work with it. )

I could mention the others but will only do so if anyone is still interested in my opinion when it comes to the perks and how they work for Freddy. ( Oh and I did not mention any of Rin's perks due to she not being released yet. )

Expect your Freddy games to go long and prepare for the endgame. I'd say two of his perks, Remember Me and Blood Warden are fantastic for the endgame, but they're pretty situational.
Use as few perks as possible that give survivors difficult skillchecks. Anything that triggers exposed status effects, like Make Your Choice, are pretty good for Freddy, as well as any perks that allow you to see survivor auras, like Bitter Murmur or BBQ.

Also, use add-ons that decrease completion speed and skillcheck chances to make sure the survivors stay in the dream state as long as possible.
overcharged, insidious, unnerving presence, distressing

Boi, these guys are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ messin with you, don't trust them. Overcharge is NOT something you want on a Freddy build, it provides ample opportunity for survivors to miss skill checks and when they miss skill checks they get out of the dream state which is what they need to be IN in order for you to kill them or hit them at all. The same applies for perks such as Unnerving Presence, which increase skill check chances, and Distressing, will only amplify the effects of perks like unnerving presence, which you do not want.

That second build is also trash because it has surveillance on it, which is notorious for being one of, if not the worst perk for killers in the game.

Unlike other people, I actually enjoy playing Freddy despite the frustrations it can sometimes cause, so I will be sincere when I give you my opinion on how you should go about it:

Freddy Krueger is very much a late game killer, you absolutely should not be worried when gens begin to pop because it is in a sense a good thing. The more generators that pop the less there are on the map for survivors to use to get out of dream state, and the less there are for you to watch.

A lot of the greatest plays you can MAKE as Freddy come from extremely late game, when all the generators have been completed and the exit gates can now be open. It's nerve wracking as ♥♥♥♥ because it's extremely risky on your part, but at the same time if you make the correct decisions and play your cards well you can get a big pay off in the terms of 4K's especially if survivors don't play their cards right.

That being said you're going to want to equip late game perks, Remember Me is an absolute must because it provides you with the time necessary to pull off those extremely late game plays that I had mentioned earlier.

Nurse's calling is also a very good perk to have equipped, while you have the benefit of seeing survivor auras due to your ability, to keep tabs on what survivors are doing while you chase others (make sure they don't try anything that gets them out of dream state) this only works when they are outside your terror radius, equipping nurse's calling will allow you to see if they are healing anywhere within your terror radius, it gives you that much more awareness as a killer, and it also allows you to cut off a survivors progress on trying to get a skill check to get out of dream state.

Coulrophobia Will help you a lot as well because those extremely late game plays I keep mentioning, almost always involve slugging. I repeat you do not want to hook survivors extremely late game if you can avoid it, putting them on a hook means putting them out of dream state and that can be a really risky play which can cause you to lose it all. There are some instances where hooking a survivor can be beneficial, IE when you need to bait out survivors but really this chalks up to experience of playing Freddy, when you've learned the decision making skills of whether to hook or not. That being said, Freddy's ability already reduces repair, healing, etc. speeds by 50% so when you add coulrophobia into the mix it reduces healing speeds when survivors are in your terror radius by another 50%. Combined with the fact that you'll have nurse's calling equipped you will absolutely be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to slowing down healing progression, and most especially keeping survivors on the ground until they're all on the ground.

Finally what end game build would be complete without No one escapes Death AKA NOED. It's just an all around useful perk to have when you're focusing on capitalizing late game, making you move 4% faster cooldowns on missed attacks are 8% faster and everyone is put under the exposed effect (1 hit downs). Some people don't like NOED because it's risky in a sense because it is at the end of the day, a "Hex:" perk, however it is the least risky of all hex perks because the hex doesn't appear until the extremely late game. More importantly, as Freddy, if you can get everyone into dream state it will be really easy to watch that hex because you won't ever need to walk by it. An important part of this end game strategy is not hitting anyone until everyone is in the dream state, with no generators to work on (because they're all finished) and no one in the injured state to get a healing skill check, there is no way to escape the dream state. With NOED equipped you'll be able to strike people straight into the dying state and the benefits of both Nurse's Calling and Coulrophobia as I've already mentioned will run their course and serve their purpose.

There are other builds I could probably propose, however I wanted to focus on this extremely late game build (though Nurse's Calling and Coulrophobia will help you out through the entire game) because at this point in time Pre-Freddy Rework, this is essentially what he was made for. The later the game, the stronger he is. I've also left out The Spirit's perks because she is not released atm, and I'd need to think about them more in depth and how they would work in conjunction with both his power and the other perks available for killers in game as of now.

I am not actually messing with anyone. You have not played much of Freddy if you think I am. Not all killers are meant to be played the same way. Freddy is one of those killers.

If anything you are messing with the person more than I am by suggesting NOED as much as you are. Its a dead perk against survivors that think at all. Esp since most people would expect noed on Freddy. ( Its the same with Wraith really, people expect you to have noed. )

Hex:Ruin , Remember me, Thrill of the hunt and Noed and i do ok as freddy but it really all depends how you want to play this build is set to end game which means most of the time when the last gen pops all 4 survivors will still be alive, and if you did it right you will have 6 tokens on your Remember me so they aint going anywhere hehe.
freddy is the perk...

I am a freddy main - Got the legendary killer with Freddy also :-)

I use ''Remember me, NOED, Hex Ruin and BBQ'' if you wanna be fun. You can take remember me off and put Overcharge on him.
But with ''my perks'' it works really fine. I always get like 3 kills but most of the time 4 kills. But i have also spent alot of hrs to understande him :-)

Greetings Mojo

I wasn't targeting you specifically, I was actually going to exempt you slightly because all your other perk suggestions were decent, however considering the length of my post I decided not to.

Regardless you still decided to put overcharge in your recommendation, and if you're telling me Overcharge is good on Freddy in combination with certain perks and add-ons for a specific strategy or other, that's absolutely fine and I'll probably believe you especially if you explain it thoroughly. However you chose not to explain or elaborate, you simply said "for not as obvious reasons", and when you tell that to a guy who is looking for advice, who most likely does not have that much play time, you can't expect him to know how to properly use such a perk in conjunction with a killer that generally does not work well with it. All you're going to end up doing, is causing this guy to have a terrible time playing Freddy, and give him a reason to be toxic like the rest of the community because of his frustration due to the misleading information others provided that you decided to corroborate. So obviously I would lump you in with the rest of the trolls who would seek to mislead this poor soul with terrible advice and terrible builds. Call it collateral damage if you will
