Mouse clicks not registering
Anybody know how to fix the old mouse clicks not registering problem? Sometimes I have to click like 5-6 times to get a swing off and if I play hag for example setting a trap with M2 takes a few clicks also. It’s kind of making playing killer (and this game) not fun anymore. Any ideas or a solution would be most appreciated. Thank you :)

I have the same problem. I reported it several times on the official forum but no response.

I read if you lower your icons and all that on your PC down to 100% it supposedly works but idk it makes everything tiny and I hate it.

It has to do with your mouse clicking "off-screen" from the game. Yes, the 100% scale does work. For Windows 10 I had to right click the desktop > display settings > change the size of text, apps, and other items to 100%. You can adjust the size of your icons on the desktop separately. I can guarantee that this will completely fix your mouse clicking issues as it definitely did for me; never had an unregistered click since. It fixes your M2 clicks as well.

It's not that hard to go back to the scaling that you like. Just follow the instructions above before and after playing the game.

I’ll do that then thanks but what do you mean “clicking off screen” I always play in full screen so there’s isn’t any off screen. I’m new to the whole PC world sorry lol

It's ok :) I don't remember the exact explanation, but it has to do with the mouse not staying within the game's window if you don't have the scaling set correctly. That means even though you're in fullscreen, the mouse is still not staying within the game hence the game doesn't recognize you clicking within it. It acts as if you're clicking out of the game when you're not. IDK why that is other than that DBD is weird like that. But yeah, I'm pretty confident that this will fix it for you.

Oh ok thank you very much. I’ll do the 100% scale fix. I wanna try to look into how to scale my game correctly if that’s a thing to possibly be done though. Thank you very much for the explanation :)

NP! It was super frustrating when it was happening to me so I feel your pain lol

I'm sorry but surely there's another way to resolve this, because having the tiniest text and not being able to read anything without manually zooming in by mousepad outside of DBD isn't exactly the most optimal solution. Feel like the devs are punishing me for having a 4K display system lol

I've also heard recently that you can go into your game settings file and change it to fullscreen to fix the same issue. C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini is where it is located. Go through it and make sure ALL of the fullscreen settings are actually set to fullscreen.

Have the same problem right now, hopefully it works :D

I fixed my issue by going to dbd properties > Compatibility > High dpi setting and tick on override high dpi scaling behavior

I had the same problem with my old mouse (but it wasn't because of the mouse, only had the problem with DBD, no other application on my pc didn't register it)
but since i've bought a new one I haven't encountered the problem as much.

I've had it like once or twice with this mouse where with the other mouse I had it multiple times per match with me spam clicking my mouse to get a simple lunge.

This mouse has a higher DPI, maybe that has got something to do with it?

I fixed this problem by changing my monitor to 1920x1080p, which changes the icon scaling to 100 aswell, but you don't have tiny icons lf your monitor usually has a high resolution.

Since then, my clicks register perfeclty.
