PSA, Bodyblocking Killers is bannable.
Yall are precious lmao, not everyone watches dev streams and the ingame wording on reports seperates 'Holding the game hostage' and 'Bodyblocking' seperately. This devolved so fast and only proved my points further but go off i spose.

You're projecting here, i think that your ego is the fragile one, otherwise you wouldn't care and wouldn't post dumb stuff like this

Nah if you face a SWF or higher ranked guys, they can just sit in front of the hook to outright prevent you from doing it, giving the grabbed surv time to wiggle free. If you're playing anything remotely out of meta vs survs with meta perks you can consider yourself screwed because the stun time + Selfcare. By the time you catch one the other 3 can have healed themselves and be ready to do it again.

The bodyblocking in report category means when someone is getting bodyblocked in corner or another spot unable to move by killer or another survivor.

There are circumstances where body-blocking is exploitative(the stairs on a basement), but that does not mean it is the case in general otherwise there would be no collision at all between players. I can't agree with the OP.

The tournament rules have nothing to do with the rules put in place by the Devs.

You simply won't get banned for body blocking as a Survivor.

If they want to body block the hook, what's the problem? Most likely, they won't get to wiggle off your shoulder after hitting them. The teammates are not on gens, and now they're injured and will more than likely heal prior to going to do gens. In the rare occurrence that it DOES cause the survivor to get free, now you've got multiple injured survivors to decide who to down.

I'm not sure why everyone hates it. There are a lot more hooks on the map now, so it's not as useful to body block anymore.

Blocking the hook is not a bannable offence, no matter if a tournament has a rule against it or not. The body blocking rule is there so another player can't block you in a corner and keep you there till you dc. It is very hard for a survivor to pull off such a feat, and actully imposible for a survivor to do to a killer in normal circumstances.

If it's allowed to bodyblock to prevent the Killer from hooking, it's also allowed to bodyblock to prevent the Survivors from unhooking.

Except you can't because they patched that out.

The reason that statement is false is because there are different abilities to deal with it, or lack there of.

Previously, prior to multi-angle unhook, facecamping could occur. There was absolutely zero way to get the killer to move to allow unhook.

For the reverse, the killer has multiple ways to get the survivors out of his/her way. Hit them/down them. Drop the survivor, go after the body blocker. Or move to a different hook, so long as you play a killer that's faster than the survivors.

Nowadays, there is no way to hide the prompt for unhook. So the best you'll get is to hard camp with leatherface or Billy, or another insta-down killer.

body blocking the stairs at the basement isnt an exploit the only time its against the rules is when you do it for an extended period of time and thats because its holding the game hostage/griefing not because its an exploit

Hehe... This is where you are wrong. Try to find out the meaning of "buttcamping".
