He seems to fit the games tone perfectly.
Take a look at umbrella corp game, Dead after few weeks, if not the first week of it coming out. lame concept and all, nothing done to it.

yeah but the game was so disconnected from the survival horror tone itself.
where as DBD is just horror.

Wesker? Really good character but he is to op for DBD.How do you wanna kill him with a blade?remember that he is able to dodge bullets,survive a bath in lava and throw giant missiles.
Yeah i know she isnt helpless but still a good character.
Yet a pallet will stun him.
Would love a Nemesis for killer and Jill for survivor.
