Hatch needs to be removed from the game.
It's not balanced in any way. It's not fun in any way. And it encourages annoying tactics from both sides.

It gives the last survivor a fair shot at getting out. The only side at fault in the standoffs it creates are killers. They cleared the map with one exception, just let the last person go. No need to be an ass about it.

I'll do that as soon as devs fix the killer/survivor hitboxes in such a way that killers cannot be loped anymore.

Last time I checked the objective of killer wasn't "kill them all, except the last guy, he deserves a free escape." No one's at fault except the devs for making it a mechanic, even then they probably didn't think it would be as unbalanced as it is.

Idk man, I usually just hit survivor... It annoys me to see constant t-bagging for next +15 minutes, not worth it. It's not the t-baging part that annoys me, but waiting... for 15 minutes I can finish 2 games EZ, if they bring Brand New Memes that's easily 3 matches.

The mechanic is fine, keeps the pace up and always leaves a spot of hope.
It opening when both gates are powered and killers not being able to interact with it in any way causing standoffs is why it's such a ♥♥♥♥ mechanic.
I feel like more people would win the hatch stand offs if they don't make it a stand off to start with. Just accept the survivor will probably find it if you don't slug, and start looking for him. If you just stand next to it waiting he will creep up and turn it into a stand off for 40 annoying mins. Leave it up to chance. Either he finds it and takes it or you find him before he does and he is stuck in a chase with no idea where hatch is, in which killer has the advantage.

When i see a killer camp the hatch, I do the remaining gens, get the gates up, then you have to patrol all 3 hatch and gates and then you don't even have the slim chance for a grab at that point. Because if he saw you camp it, even if you find him away from it, one m1 killer hit and he will just burst to it.

No they just need to remove hatch stand offs. Maybe when the survivor is hit within a certain meter range of the hatch they aren't allowed to interact with it for a few seconds.

I do believe the last survivor should have a chance at escaping. But it shouldn't be survivor sided like it is now.

Whatever the devs do, please change the hatch mechanic so that matches end quicker.

I hate wasting valuable time.

That's still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Killer has to find the survivor and hit them twice, while survivor only has to find the hatch. If they want to make the hatch an instant-win for survivor that killers can do absolutely nothing about, just make it a portal that brings them to the victory the moment they touch it.

Instead it's a trolling tool. A spot on the map that survivors become completely invincible on if they stand on it. Why should that exist?

The hatch shouldn't open, if the exit-gates are powered for the last survivor in the match, after someone left through the exit-gates already.

Only survivors, who manage to survive on their own without having the exit-gates, should get the extra bloodpoints for finding and escaping though the hatch. If the last survivor manages to repair all of the missing generators, though, the hatch should still be open for them.

That's how I would change it.

Remove exit gates and give survivors cement shoes, 100% reduction in movement speed. I mean seriously, if you're going to camp the hatch like a tool don't ♥♥♥♥♥ about survivors t-bagging for 15 minutes because you wont just let them escape and end the match. If a killer camps it for me I'll just run circles in the basement and hold the game hostage in the same manner. Cant find me, not willing to leave the hatch so you can either DC or DC. I can pull up youtube on my phone, long as my character is moving I wont have crows show up. Until killers accept responsibility for standoffs I'll punish them for it.
I watched a 4 hour hatch standoff on theentitylefthand’s stream. Survivor goes in his stream tells him he’ll never give up that disgusting 7k free no skill involved bp.

Hatch standoffs being in the game for 2 years says everything you need to know bout dbd devs and where their allegiance will always be.
