Hatch Mechanic Is Dumb
Let me give an example.

I killed 3 survivors with FOUR generators left. Basically just domination. So what happens?

The last survivor gets rewarded with A SECOND CHANCE hatch escape. And for what? It's literally undeserved.

You get a free second chance hatch escape for basically not doing gens and getting outplayed by the killer. It just doesn't make sense at all.

Find the hatch before you down the 3rd survivor. Once he is downed go close it.

Wow.

So hard.

yea nah bruh why dont we wait an good hour doing a hatch stand off to make sure the last guy doesn't escape. Stop crying bout it and live with it like are you really gonna act like the hatch never saved your life

I agree.
There is no mechanic that gives the killer a free kill, if he plays terribly bad. So why have this for survivors?
JasonS 28 ENE 2020 a las 10:51
Because the alternative used to be hour long matches with the 1v1 survivor hiding just to drag out the game with no hope of ever getting out. Now, at least, if you find the hatch first you can start the end-game collapse which forces them out of hiding.

If you lose one kill to a hatch, its usually no big deal. You'll generally rank up anyway.

This could have been fixed by a simple game timer.

Honestly the way it is now I'm good with it. Yea it's usually an underserved win for three survivor, but I think I probably find the hatch first 50/50 then it's basically a free final kill for me.

I agree. Used to be they had to at least do 2 gens to get hatch. Should be 3. But this way it helps with people that hide for 20 minutes instead of not doing a gen. Anything’s better than the old school hatch stand off
Shae (Bloqueado) 28 ENE 2020 a las 10:54
They found hatch first so they outplayed you and won even if they didnt deserve it. They added EGC and the ability to close hatch because back then survivors would hold game hostage which is a worser case scenario compared to now.

Guess you don't know game mechanics hatch does not spawn unless there's only 1 survivor left or the number of survivors left are equal to the number of gens done +1 and there were 4 gens left to be done in this case. Also you appear to think the hatch opens when you down the third survivor.

A douche with a private profile. Go figure. Do you play the game? Have you ever played killer?

Have you ever closed the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hatch? Not hard.

Never had problem with that
You don't need 4k to pip (if you care about rank)
Anyway fast matches are pointless -> less points, less pips
thebean (Bloqueado) 28 ENE 2020 a las 11:02
I still don't understand why some players get upset about this.

You won the match by killing 3 survivors.

If you wanted the 4th so bad, you should have slugged the 3rd to get the 4th. That is how you counter play that.

You obviously didn't dominate the match in that case.
LuNi 28 ENE 2020 a las 11:02
Slug for the 4k. If they have a key it's too bad.

Game timer like endgame collapse gauranteed after 10 minutes? That would result in killers not even going for kills and just forcing people off gens until the timer kills them
