You don't need any DLCs in order to reach the end of an archives. Character or perk exact challenges are always to the side if they aren't free to prevent them from forcing you to pay to finish.

Can't 100% the challenges without DLC, but that's 100%ing them. Not simply finishing it to reach the next tier. You also earn rift progress from just playing the game normally so you aren't locked out of that either. Plus you have the option of using shards to buy those people as well. 9k shards is nothing to sniff at but over 70 days anyone should have the ability to earn everything in the archive for free.

Pretty sure they wont. The DLC character challenges are all optional side spokes to the rift thing.. You are not required to do the challenges to get to the end of the rift level. Sure you lose out on a bit of blood and the Rift progress, Along with the pages of lore.. You can eventually get the blood/lore at a later date if you end up buying the dlcs with the Compendium but if I am being honest the cinematics are all whack.. And who cares about the lore of dbd in the first place lmao.
