Dead By Daylight: Age Appropriate?

I'm looking into buying Dead By Daylight but I gotta know, will someone who does not meet the mature rating (17+) be okay with playing it? I wanted actual player experience so if you have any input based on the gameplay, amount of blood and gore, etc, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Gore wise? Not so bad, its just Horror hide and seek/freeze tag.
The community is the worst part, telling you to kill yourself and they slept with your mother yatta yatta. You had to be on xbox live when you were 12 to buy this game.
You can close the chat down and fully ignore it and just play the game though as a side note.

Only you know how they are with horror, but the game is slasher movie style horror. Depending on their age maybe they've been watching those kind of movies for years and they find them hilarious/entertaining. Or maybe they're terrified by them.

Anyway as others have said, honestly, there are healthier game experiences you can give to people. It can be fun but I've avoided buying it for friends due to the players in the game. Personally unless you're desperate for this style of game I would gift them something more positive.

Personally, this is a good game, the gore may be too much at times, but it's uncommon, I'd say this game is okay for 13+ if they're okay with some toxicity, and screams.

I'd recommend this game for 18+, and for 18-, if the person can control himself / herself;
That also expects from the person to retrieve the harrassments and insults back to the target.

Sadly, way too many people can't control themselves.
If we'd be honest, it kind of ruins their life, but because it is a game, they don't realize it.

the worst thing in this game will probably be the steam names and after game chat. the game itself is just violent. maybe im desensitized but the violence doesnt seem that over the top. The most brutal animations are not very detailed.

I'd say that the game can be played by young teens, probably 14
