Is diversion not a good perk?

Haven't had the chance to get on the PTB yet to test it out myself to see from the killer perspective, but I've heard people say before that diversion is completely useless for some reason, but it sounds really good in concept. Is the noise notification smaller or something, making it easier to discern between who is just using the perk and who is actually making a loud noise?

It's a troll perk, you can't even aim it, only purpose I found is to throw it at the killer, or at least to try doing it, very unreliable and not very useful. And killers ignore the notification most of the times.

The only problem with the noise marker is it is too high off the ground, its unbelievable

well you can aim it, kinda, you just throw where your body is pointing, not where the camera is looking.

And yeah it should like "latch on' to something close like a window to make it seem like you vaulted the window, then it COULD be alright, but eh.

It's a killer specific counter perk, they come with most killer/survivor combos. With the crouch and time required it just trys to stop her from snatching you off a 99% gen coming out of haunting, or making her go away before the chase begins if you see the husk just standing around. But yeah, otherwise useless. Even for when it's useful it's a wasted slot tbh.
