I'm just confused why you would do an event but lock the prize behind a DLC character. It just seems a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. A lot of cosmetics in this game are pretty expensive (unless you play loads I guess), just feels stupid.

it's not even DLC, it's content unlocked with playtime
I got 3-4k during weekend without playing much. Just play game and you will have enough to unlock the char.

You can get her with shards, no need to spend money to even get her.

they were doing skins only for free characters and people cried for feng/ace skins. Now they did event for dlc character skins and people ♥♥♥♥♥ abou this?

Oh sorry, I didn't realise you could unlock her with play time. It said 'AVAILABLE IN STEAM STORE!' so I just assumed that's the only way to get her.

Yeah it is a new feature that came with the clown DLC. All the non-licensed characters are obtainable through grinding out those iridescent shards.

Though as a side note if you do unlock through shards you only get the default outfit and not the second one that comes with buying the chapter through steam.
