But the addon that applies hindered is probably good for him
And the addon that applies exhaustion
And the addons that give him extra bottles or make the intoxicated effect last longer
Everything else is very useful in any situation or loadout. Some are just always good no matter what (Thick Cork Stopper almost cuts reload speed in half), while others synchonize very well with certain perks (Sulphuric Acid Vial, mangled 120secs + Coulrophobia + Distressing).
Probably the most consistently excellent add-ons that you should always pick up if you ge the chance are the Thick Cork Stopper, Sticky Soda Bottle/Cheap Gin Bottle, Flask of Bleach, and Garish Make-up Kit. Really, any add-on not in the first paragraph are definitely worth unlocking and using, though.
Still want your opinion on combining Ether 15% with Ether 10% though. I am not even sure if they stack, but on paper it should be +1.66 sec intoxication duration.
While they are perfectly fine and quite powerful, I personally find Ether add-ons to be slightly overrated. The increased intoxication duration is very good if Survivors have plenty of windows, or if they are far ahead of you in a chase, but otherwise the increased slow duration isn't usually necessary if you are already fairly close to them.
The Afterpiece Tonic really shines in squeezing hits in between loops if you force them to run through the cloud. The default duration of the slow is more than enough to shut them down and get a hit in between pallet drops, so Ether add-ons don't actually help you in these situations. Compared to reload speed and bottle count add-ons (helps keep you in the chase), increased hindred, mangling, or increased cloud radius add-ons (shuts down chases faster or slows down progress), the duration add-ons are more situational in their impact, and have other alternatives (such as Bamboozle to deny windows).
Again, Ether add-ons are very good, and are especially useful if you spot a distant Survivor or on maps with lots of windows (like Lery's), because the increased intoxication duration will let you catch up to them faster if they already have the advantage. But again, Clown is all about DENYING that advantage in the first place, ideally.
They do indeed stack, but all you need is the 1 second version. Just pair that with a cork or hinder and you are good to go.
Some of my add-on combinations:
Cork Stopper + Parade Gloves/Soda Bottle (running out of bottles in a chase is no problem anymore)
Flask of Bleach + Ether 5/10/15% (long, powerful slows to cut off distant chokes or to mitigate distance gained from pallets/windows)
Make-up Kit + Chloroform (gigantic clouds that nuke down an entire area)
Tattoo Finger + Solvent (reveals and exhausts unhooked Survivors, denies their recovered sprint perks; makes them easy prey even if they are on Borrowed Time)
Sulphuric Acid + Distressing, Coulrophobia, Thanatophobia, Nurse's Calling/Sloppy Butcher (injuries take forever to heal, so Survivors either stop being altruistic, or stop working on gennies)
