Why and how do killers lose add-ons?

I get that some add-ons are extremely powerful but it's a little frustrating to get a good add-on after like 40 levels and then lose it after 1 game : /

Also, does anyone know when you lose them? To me it seems completely random. Sometimes I lose 1, other times I lose both or non. :thinking:

You lose both your addons at the end of the trial. You can burn the Black Ward offering to prevent that.

When you lose your addon, it gets replaced if you've got one more same addon in your inventory, making it look like you didnt lose it.

Meanwhile i kept the same green toolbox with socket and efficiency add-on for 6 games in a row:)

I just did a match. I killed 2 people and I kept my add ons...

Indeed, not having a chance to keep your addons sucks as the killer. Especially for rare ones. Honestly I'd see something where you'd either have a 25% chance at keeping each addon for each survivor you kill or sacrifice. Or Perhaps as long as you kill at least x survivors you get to keep your addons.

Survivors only loose items and addons if u die or use the item up

This topic needs an update, especially since it's the first thing Google brings up; I a can confirm that addons are NOT lost at the end of EVERY match; I've completed both 4 kill and 0 kill matches with losing 0, 1, or 2 addons.

No it doesn't.
it still works exactly the same, you lose both add-ons after every match. If you have more of the same add-on it re-equips it automatically for you.
