Stuck in loading screen?

Hi all,

I'm having a new problem I've never seen before (with 54hours in game). I open up the game, pick "play as survivor", get my loadout ready, and click join a lobby. From that point on,I never get into the lobby, I sit at the loading screen which is constantly running the 5 tally marks, so it is not frozen.

It continued to do this for over a minute both times I tried, and I had to force close with the task manager to get out of it. Also note that in the task manager it did not say anything about it not responding, so it appears it was running with no issues.

I have never had this issue before. It usually pops you into a lobby nearly immediately with a killer and maybe a survivor or two.

Does anyone have a fix for this or has anyone else experienced this?

Known bug right now, I get it once every 3-4 games.

Only “fix” is to close and reload, but it’ll happen again

Ok, well i'm glad it was not just me.

One thing that did seem to work to get around this was to go into "survive with friends" and just ready up by myself.

its a bug after the latest update.

i usually get it like every 5 games, which sucks.

Joins (or creates lobby) loads up Bloody Party Streamers or Escape Cake / Survivor's Pudding and the loading screen freezes = ay

Same issue, I played the game fine for a day, the next day had the issue intermittently, now... nothing loads. It's basically just become a game that does not work.

Happens to me as well, at least once a day. But I'm sure the next DLC will be on schedule and maybe a fix for this bug if we're lucky.

Right, like, even force quitting doesn't always resolve it. And a lot of people are blaming ISPs, and people who have slow net, or demanding steep consequences for people who D/C. Um, sorry, maybe it's because the game has -actual- flaws? I have like, industrial strength speeds, lol. And I still have this issue.

I've clicked play as killer then switch to survivor and it usually works for me

For every game? Sounds impractical... but maybe I'll try it. this stuck on loading screen bug is getting on my nerves
