How to drop a survivor as killer?

As title says how can i drop a survivor after i grabed them? I pressed space and nothing happened for me. Any tips?

The button to press is R. Here's a tip thats a bit toxic. If you know that you're going to drop the survivor (because of a flashlight save) spam R! You will drop the survivor instead of them getting away! Happy Hunting

hm thanks, at times i have those smart survivors which run around their friend which i got in my grab and of course yo ucant chase them that way so it comes in handy to temporary lay them down haha^^

Forgot to mention! If you drop a survivor, their wiggle bar fills up by 1/4th! Be careful!

I mean you're not wrong... it does drop them.
