Thoughts on Hex: Haunted Ground?
"Two trapped Hex Totems will spawn in the Trial.
When one of the two trapped Hex Totems is cleansed by a Survivor, all Survivors suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds.
The remaining trapped Hex Totem immediately becomes a Dull Totem."

I see it as The Spirit's best Perk in terms of clutching. Perhaps more than Rancor.
One could say it's just as situational as Unbreakable, but it has proven to turn the tables at the point of getting all four Survivors into the dying state in a minute or less. Yes, it happened. Twice, in about ten trials.

But not only that, it's a nice Perk to run with other Hex Perks such as Hex: Ruin and Hex: Devour Hope, because there's the fear of cleansing the wrong Hex Totem and having the whole team penalized for it. So, it's kinda like Hex: Thrill of the Hunt - it has a defensive role into it.

Good on killers who can travel the map fast enough, billy, nurse, hag, spirit, imo

>Claudette cleansing totem
>Freddy sleeps her
>Claudette finishes totem during transition
>Haunted ground

This is the only reason I like the perk.

i feel like both totems should give a 1 hit not just 1 totem

This perk needs to be run with another hex totem I feel. Survivors now probably won't touch totems if they don'y have a debuff on them.

I'd say run it with ruin for a 33% chance they cause exposed on everyone or run it with devour hope, they probably won't cleanse totems until you start one shotting.

Haunted grounds is a teir 3 evil within myers
and considering how hyper eger survivors are to smash that hex ive had like every game start with at least 2 fools going down
Huanted grounds is the ONLY hex worth useing

First I tried to not pair it with another hex totem and it was destroyed non the less, but just at the very end of the match acting like noed.
Then I paired it with devour hope on a nurse and I'm loving it:

Worthless perk. You'd be far better off getting Thrill of the Hunt. It also only has one use. Once it's popped that's only one hit down on a survivor and it's timed so if you don't hit anyone that's the perk completely wasted.

It's also bad in the fact it gives you far more to look after as a killer than any other perk. Going Hex: Ruin? Good luck trying to cover all three totems in the off chance survivors nab your Ruin perk. It might be really good if it automatically triggered over all other hex perks so if, like now, a survivor is destroying hex: Ruin it would turn into Haunted Ground instead. It would buy you more gaurenteed time, put the survivors at a disadvantage when breaking it.

Surprised I haven't seen many complaints yet, considering so many complain about noed. I'm sure it'll get nerfed sooner rather than later (probably down to 10/15/20 seconds)

IT's always broken at the start of the match, so it generally doesn't help all that much other than getting one hook in, at least in the 20 or so games that I've played since yesterday that have had it. I've seen rancor successfully used multiple times though, so that's probably a better perk.

I wouldnt say its as rare as Unbreakable.

If you combine it with Ruin survivors will HAVE to cleanse the totems and more often than not they will cleanse the Trap totem and just like you this has led to 2-3 survivors getting downed in minutes.

I agree this might be her greatest perk and imo the greatest DLC characters perk of Year 3.

The reason why antihexes are coming to the game is because we thought that it should be risky for survs to cleanse totems. Since there is now gamble involved you have many options to mindgame:

- bait with perks like ruin and lullaby

- protect perks like devour hope

- use toth with antihexes to let surv think you protect smth

The possibilities are endless. And with the release of more antihexes the mindgame potential will reach astronomical heights. Also wait for the upcoming totem cube. This will finally make totems 100% viable. Every single one :Batcat:

Who knows when that'll happen? Totem have been out in plain sight forever

A lot of potential, but on average pretty bad.

And when combo'd with another Hex perk it is so obnoxiously reliant on RNG that I just hate using it.

I’ve always liked the idea of a Trap totem. I think it’s a nice edition to the game and can provide some fun moments
