Why are the survivors so UGLY?

I thought the killers were supposed to be the ugly ones, yuck.

Why does this bother me? Well, i prefer beauty over ugly any day; but secondly, and more importantly, horror movies are supposed to have your stereotypical attractive people.

Literally every classical horror movie follows this formula; okay, maybe not all, but the majority.

It is difficult to get into it when there are old men and black professors running with post op transexuals.

Immersion people! Immersion. It is important!

This isn't just about the characters being ugly either.. It is also about the lack of definable characteristics that fit their specialties.. Like, you could swap Nea's story with Meg's and you wouldn't even notice any discrepancy because they have no definable look about them. Where are your classic stereotypes from horror movies??

Black guy
Or any of the other classic stereotypes from slasher movies!

Where are they!

You give your killers the stereotype treatment, as you should; but when it comes to the survivors you seriously drop the ball with most of them.

The game has poor graphics and the survivors are just regular people, hence nobody is a bombshell, even the 1 character who is supposed to be one.

Only reason why horror movies typically have attractive protagonists is because movies typically always have attractive protagonists.

If you want some smut I'd recommend Dead or Alive instead.

Survivors are so ugly, because it reflects how ugly they are from the inside.

Their behavior ingame and in chat says enough.
It makes perfect sense.

Nea Karlsson is kinda pretty with a red skirt, white kitty T-shirt, and one-sided hear without a cap.
Not the cheapest, but I've found her the most beautiful character in this game.

Don't be silly.

They'll be twice as large as David, wear very bright clothes, have great perks and play identical to all other survivors so he'll only exist to give Claudette more perks.

Just like every single other damn survivor.
