Saw; Relatively better killer and more fun to play with and against. Survivor's perks for Saw is also better than that of quentin's Elm DLC.

Killer's perks: Make your choice (Saw) is a very good perk. Freddy's perks are mehh....average i would say; Maybe just blood warden\remember me are good sometimes.

The Pig is stronger, but honestly I find Freddy more fun to play. The Pig's a pretty boring killer.

SAW, don't buy The Nightmare on Elm Street dlc till Feddy gets a buff. It has no real redeeming features.

Both weak, so whichever you see as a more fun play style.

The Elm Street DLC basically removed around 3,000-5,000 players from the population of DBD (once we account for the unusual surge from the Halloween event and compare it to the previous, non-halloween player count) due to its low quality and its further drop with patches that made it WORSE.

SAW was a big 180 from that and was the start of a lot of improvements in design, and hopefully is just the start.

Go with SAW.

If I could take back my support for Nightmare on Elmstreet I'd do it in a heartbeat. I am still very dissapointed in Freddy's portrayal in this game. Quentin's perks are garbage as well.

SAW dlc is better all around for both killers and survivors.

He wasn't OP, the devs outright said he was actually bad and overreacted, and most rank 1 survivors agree he was trash.

Free week didn't last from January to July, if your implying the numbers were lower because more people were playing for the Spoopyday free weekend... yeah... nah.. DBD lost 15,000 players, half its playerbase at the time, when that ended, but that would obviously be insane to compare it to. Comparing to BEFORE halloween and the free weekend, we had 3,000-5,000 (its hard to say exactly because steamcharts averages weekly highs and lows weird once they go to archives) more players than we did after Freddy nerf hit, because so many players felt exploited by the absolutely terrible DLC. And the player dropoff happened at the announcement of the nerf, not when he was launched.

Like objectively the Freddy DLC was bad and their handling of Freddy was bad which is why they *appologized for it and admitted that the nerf was stupid.*

In a magical land where your 4 perks are not filled by the meta perks all 3 perks are good, interesting, and could see play. This depends on if we are going to see nerfs to perks like Self Care, Sprint Burst, DS, ect. If we don't, no survivor perks will ever be worth it besides maybe Ace for item farming builds and of course Laurie for DS.
