Best play style and perk build for The Pig?
Not sure if I should be using reverse bear traps as a secondary win condition, timer stall to slow gen progression while I go to kill other survivors, or as a debuff with add-ons to make rehooking them easier.

Nice build.
It was surprisingly effective with the RBT. Keeping people down and hidden wasted survivor time to begin with, but if someone actually finds them then they still have to get the trap off. But it obviously isn't good against swf because they can just tell each other where they are, but then you can also use them as bait!
I figured Knockout would be really good on Pig for this exact reason. You should use a face mask and maybe ruleset 2 to really blind them. Combo it with Thanatophobia to slow down gens, and use Deerstalker to keep track if you need it. Finally top it off with BBQ so that if you can't find them just hook the slug and you can pick a new target.

Sneaky Build is fun:

Monitor&Abuse
Overcharge
A Nurse’s Calling
Whispers

Basically, you know when to crouch, makes best use of the ambush attack and they won’t know you’re coming. Overcharge is just good against those 99% gens due to traps.

The best loadout and playstyle is this:

Learn to play Billy, Huntress, or Doc and don't waste your time with the new killer if you plan on playing at anything higher than rank 10.

I’m a rank 1 pig main, I highly recommend using bbq, nurses calling, thantophobia, and ruin or dying light. You can also switch out ruin for devour.

Bbq will help you find survivors,
Nurses calling is great because survivors most times don’t realize you’re still in the area crouched and you can ambush them.
Thanto is amazing because you can slow down the game.
Ruin makes survivors go look for the totem and helps not getting gen rushed. Even if they destroy the totem early it still did its job to at least let you know where survivors where at when it gets destroyed. I’d suggest to go check your totem constantly, even at the beginning if you spawned far from the totem.
Dying light, make sure you find and tunnel your obsession, play dirty and don’t worry what survivors say, camp that obsession but kill them so everyone gets the debuff and mixed with thanto, you’ll be able to hunt them down without worrying about getting gen rushed.
Use one trap on one survivor and just constantly check the jigsaw boxes, I like using 2 during gen progression, and 2 for end game.
Hope this helps and find perks that fit your style, I play very stealthy, I travel following the walls of the map to avoid survivors seeing me coming.
Good luck and happy hunting ;)

Brutal strength is a very good perk to run on Piggy. (Just an opinion)

If you want a more "gimmicky" build:

Distressing
Unnerving Presence

BBQ, Ruin or Overcharge

Addons: Tempered Timer and Crate of Gears

Besides patrolling the gens also "half" patrol the box and enjoy the many skillcheck f*ckups this build provides.

i run whispers, bbq, enduring and brutal str. I use traps early to stall the game so you dont need ruin. Go for gen grabs with whispers, if you get one the game snowballs and if not its still a free hit. Than learn what pallets you can mindgame with your ambush. And the most impostant is to learn how to spam the roar to bm
