Survivor Perk Data/Personal Performance Data
Good evening, all. I figured I'd post this out of interest based on some recent discussions regarding how the data is collected in this game and the context around it.

I decided to track my own personal performance as killer and survivor perk usage. After the initial setup, it's pretty easy to do with some quick manual entries post-game since survivors can only use one unique perk per game.

I compiled a list of the highest perk usage based on every individual survivor I've encountered in-game.

Fair warning that one of the biggest assumptions I made is that all survivors I encounter as a killer are unique individuals, which may not always be the case unless I track steam IDs, but I'm lazy, so eh.

The sample size is pretty small with only 36 games logged in, but I'll keep it going for a while for grins and giggles. I'm particularly interested in separating Rank 1 from the rest of the data, but for now, feel free to take a look for yourself. I think it's interesting to see what people actually run in my personal experience. Please note that I am not claiming that this is representative of all players in game. This is strictly my own personal experience.

And for the record, I'd like to do this while playing survivor as well to see what killers run the most often. If you have any feedback or further interest, feel free to leave a comment on it.

For the inevitable question of, "Why bother?" Eh, why not? I'm tired of seeing data with limited context. In my case, I'll do what I can to be transparent.

This post isn't getting nearly as much attention as it should. This is absolutely wonderful and I appreciate all of the time and effort you went through to make this graph and shared it with us. More people should post in this thread so it gets bumped to the top of the front page.

Well played on collecting all those stats. 124 sdlf cares when many had 0 or 1. Sad. Ive been known to collect stats for similar reasons. The first to show how the kill rates of trappers who trapped under hooke were significantly higher than those who did not. And overall killer usage rates. These are some well presented stats. And another thing that strikes me ia your variation in choosing a killer and high kill rates! Well played

Yeah, it's been a rather interesting run so far. I've mostly been surprised by the sheer discrepancy on the % of survivors who use certain perks.

The fact that around 85% of players I've encountered use Self-Care speaks volumes to me personally, but I won't editorialize further than that.

I'll continue collecting in the mean time because as I said, I'd like to differentiate between Rank 1 and the rest. Thanks for the comments though :D

I think that even the stat presentation of the devs is flawed. We are told that x percentage of players are using self care, but not what percentage of the players who are not using it don't even have it! For example, I've been playing as the new survivor on its own without using BP from other games and thus I'm not using SC. It's not that I don't use it, rather my character doesn't have it yet!

ahhhh!!! yes excellent point. we need to know the percentage of people who have it but don't use it. Probably that will make Ruin, BBQ and all the survivor meta perks percentages go up. Probably the 1% that some other perks get would be even lower if everyone had all the perks all the time.

Yeah, one of the tricky things about going through this information is understanding the limits of the players. Even so, that's why I was still surprised by the low percentages that the devs presented regarding perk use.

Perhaps I misunderstood what they were trying to communicate, but stats don't mean much to me without a good understanding of what was specifically collected, the assumptions made, and the limitations of what can be collected in the first place.

Going to bring this one back to life for a quick update.

After 70 games as killer while tracking personal peformance and survivor perks, the top 5 perks I saw from Survivor across all ranks (Killer Ranks 13 through up to and including 1) were as follows:

Out of 279 Survivors:
Self-Care: 82.44%
Sprint Burst: 53.41%
Borrowed Time: 26.16%
Iron Will: 22.58%
Adrenaline: 20.43%

I also separated what I encountered specifically as a Rank 1 Killer. Please note that this doesn't mean that all survivors I faced were Rank 1.

Out of 87 Survivors:
Self-Care: 75.86%
Sprint Burst: 54.02%
Borrowed Time: 29.89%
Adrenaline: 24.14%
Decisive Strike 19.54%

I guess I'm not entirely surprised how it turned out with perk uses.

Still though, I need a lot more data to solidify what I've picked up, particularly at Rank 1, but it's still interesting to see how it's unfolded over time. It's been a neat little snapshot into what I've actually seen in-game.

That's awesome. You did a great job collecting some very detailed data. I wonder if it'd be different if you could somehow keep track other unique players as well.

It might be a bit trickier to do with other players unless I track Steam IDs specifically. Unfortunately, one of the big assumptions I had to make was that all players I ran into were unique unless I noted otherwise.

I'd be very curious to see if other players had similar results to what I have in different regions.
