Best uses and/or builds for Object of Obsession?
So this was a perk I've wanted to try for ages, but I don't have the Halloween DLC, so naturally when it appeared in the shrine, I was going to pick it up to try. But my first time using it seemed to have backfired somewhat. I was up against a Wraith, we were immediately down a player, and I got caught and killed trying to open the exit gate. It seems the wraith, when invisible, will reveal you to each other, even when he's practically on top of you, as he lacks the terror radius. Good in the sense it trumps his stealth, bad in the sense there is absolutely nowhere to hide.

What I want to know is: What's the best way to use Object of Obsession? And what perks sync with it super well? Bearing in mind I'm strictly a solo survivor.

sole survivor works REALLY well with it, since it makes it so he can't see your aura if you're the last one alive. Which is, pretty strong if you ask me. You can literally see where he is and safely search for the hatch, and if you see him coming close then you can just see him and go somewhere else.

Object of Obsession only works as long as you are looking at the killer so use that to your advantage. If you have Sole Survivor you could see the killer the whole time without him seeing you after all 3 teammates are killed. Also usefull is looking in the killers direction for a small amount of time (might catch them chasing someone). Sprint Boost would be a recommendation. Maybe even lightweight...

I personally don't use it often because I hate being the obsession and people tend to get angry if you take their instant dexisive strinke special obsession spot because you have more obsession perks than them...

That could be really good for a "last man standing" build! I'll definitely keep an eye out for Sole Survivor, maybe pick up Bill's Perk in case the killer is camping the hatch

Honestly, I used Lithe with it, and it served me really well, as it gives me a bit more control over when to use the speed burst, to a degree.

Lithe also works well because you can kinda plan your escape route a bit better.

Question is what do you exactly have in mind with that perk? Do you want to avoid the killer or keep them occupied?

And if you really want to go for the last man standing build Left Behind is amazing (in its own way, I like it alot) though I wouldn't use a toolbox with that perk active xD

A bit of both to be honest, it really depends on the situation. Like, I want to be able to sneakily keep tabs on the killer, so I can judge where they are, and decide whether it's worth getting on a gen, or getting out of there. But when a survivor is hooked, I've found I liked trying to lure the killer to me if I'm way off on the other side of the map. I'm fairly good at escaping the killer, provided I can easily get to areas to break line of sight and juke the killer to hide, so luring the killer in for a chase, shaking them off and getting away without being caught, all whilst the hooked survivor is wide open for a rescue, sounds like a win-win

In my OoO build I use Lithe, Quick and Quiet and either Sole Survivor or Lightweight. Lithe + QaQ makes for a swift escape if the killer sees you with the perk and lightweight makes escaping before he gets there even easier. Sole Survivor is good since for each person dying it becomes harder for the killer to see you even though you can still see him with no problem.
One trick is to only take glimpses of the killer and where he is. I usually only stare at him to get his attention (get him to me) or while he's in a chase.

Hm...Lithe, Object of Obsession(duh), and two of these: Sole Survivor/Quick and Quiet/Lightweight/Iron Will/Alert/Stakeout/Self-Care would be a good pick in my opinion. Alert could be amazing for that.
