Full Screen Green Screen
I love this game but everytime i try to play it on full screen the loading screen zooms in and turns green and the game does so also. ive tried everything to fix it including updating windows. its not bad playing on a smaller screen as i just stretch it out but it gets annoying at times when the mouse trys to stretch the screen instead of doing gens or unhooking people. its just annoying not being able to play in full screen. if anybody has any information or solution i'd greatly appriciate it.

DBD has issues with 4k resolutions it seems. Mainly stemming from Windows's DPI scaling.

Right click on Steam.exe>Properties>Change high DPI settings>Check the Override high dpi scaling behavior box and leave it as application. Restart steam and try playing.

That setting might muck with other games so you might need to set it back for other games. If not, you can leave it.

Also make sure Steam is closed while changing that setting.

I suspect, that your videocard is overheating and that causing the artifacts to show up. What is your GPU?

Did you use to run the game on a locked full screen?

I have not. To be honest I’m fairly new to PC as I’ve played console my whole life. So I’m not to sure what that even is. I appreciate all the help And apologize for my noon PCness but what is overclocked?

I did and then one day it just started doing it and has done it since. Every other game I own runs just fine on full screen except DBD. Runs just fine when I don’t run full screen but it used to always be set to full screen
