Because all the survivors are already dead. Their souls are trapped in an eternal hell, stuck in the Entity's web as it feeds off their suffering time and time again. Doesn't matter if they escape or are hooked, they always find themselves back at the campfire.

because after you die, you go back to the camp fire waiting to be placed inside another match to be killed all over again...... There is no escape!!

It has already been said, all I can add is that the survivors are killed over and over again to feed the Entity who preys on their shattered hope. That's why Survivors have a chance at escape; the Entity needs their hope to sustain itself.

That and the survivors are the killers. The Killers are trapped as well.

The killers are more there by choice though. Mind, we've never seen a killer who was unhappy with the whole arrangement.

I first saw it on a very similar forum about a year ago. It pops up from time to time.

Some where forced to do this by the entity. Also the entity influenced the lifes of some killers. Driving them into killing

Supposedly some killers are tortured by the Entity first. Trapper has the metal in his arm because of that apparently. Which makes sense, he never killed for the enjoyment of it but for his father.
