Trapper has the potential for ultimate fun

I know, I know, Trapper sucks and it's true. You get looped forever, his traps are very useless against good survivors etc. etc.

But every now and then the fortuna shines upon the trapper and real miracles descend upon DbD.

I remember clearly, I once had a match when I got wrecked pretty hard, had diamon stone equipped and finally managed to down one, pick him up, and boom, 3 traps go off almost at the same time very close to me, with survivors trying to come for the flashlight save / bodyblock all getting trapped, picked up and hooked.

And just now I had an awesome (read: bad) match where I hooked one dude, who got rescued, 4 bnps (yes, 4) and everyone escaped. Everyone except this one cocky nea with a toolbox that she used to sabotage a trap right infront of me after disabling all my traps that I put down to farm some points. She has sprintburst, so she's safe she thinks, both gates are open and within safe distance she thinks, let's loop the killer through a few pallets and get some more points she thinks. And then she steps into the beartrap <3

It's moments like these that fill me with glee when I play trapper ^^

Yeah thats what I do currently.
I start queueing as trapper, but then they take flashlights+DS so I simply go afk in basement and try next game again

Sometimes there are really funny games though, just dont play the unfunny ones

When I used to Play- this was the build I loved to use. Sometimes I would add in insidious and turn the basement into an item shop.

Trapper is a lot of fun.

Too bad that, by the time you set 3 traps (after running all over the map to grab then in faraway corners), 3 gens are going up and you're relying on the survivors to get downed in the enclosed area where you placed your traps to have a chance.

That, or you have to get an early down without his power and THEN set up. WHich basically turns him into a M1 killer hoping for a huge mistake.

Not to mention: SWF.

My achievement is unlocked after the victory cube update. Sad, I missed the ez time when you could rank up without kills. Check it, if you want to. Up to rank ~5 you can get with any killer, I made it with Huntress, but after, yeah, you will absolutely need to deal with infinities. You can cry or you can use something to counter it. ^^ + Ive done it without ruin or other new perks that make the game easier (I can make a screenshot, its still locked) + flashlights were better. And Trapper is one of few killers I respect because it require more than just holding "W" button.

If you think trapper sucks, go watch a good trapper like Entitylefthand and improve your game. Rank 1-5 trapper is top 3 as far as Survival/Death Ratio. He is one of the strongest killers unless you are just no good at killer.
