To be perfectly clear: the advice to switch to survivor or play other games was given to the question regarding improving the killer experience. Watch the vid again, it's all there.
Instead, this calm, level headed question was met with derision and flat out mockery. “Go play survivor or something else for like a week.” Removing all emotion from it, this answer is literally “the way to improve the killer experience is to play something else, be it survivor or another game.” That is a horrible PR move. Add in the derision the question got and it just gets worse.
Making him eat his words by not playing or only playing survivor will do more damage than continuing to skew their already faulty stats by beating up rank 20s could. Or rather, the latter option will continue to make things worse.
Honestly what I think it is, is that people probably have harassed them in the past and maybe still do over the extremely poor design issues with the killer in high ranks. And his response was just defensive. You wouldn't know that though ofcourse since he wouldn't talk about that.
I would never take to insults or bothering them because it is their game and they can run it how they want, even if that's into the dirt.
The level of frustration and anger you feel in rank 1 games can be a little impossible to compare to any other experience as artificial as a videogame. This games quite unique in that sense and I wouldn't be surprised if they got death threats on a normal basis in this world we live in today.
I do hope they get over it though and actually fix the game, thatd be cool lol.
