What is a meter long in this game?
I feel like the games proportions are blown out so I'm just wondering what I can use to define a meter

They're usually bending their back a bit.
Trust me, if they walked straight up, there'd be a significant difference.

It isnt really a gen long ... its shorter . i know its weird but this is DBD where 32 meters is probably 20 metes in real life

It's known that wall segments in the outer walls have a length of 8 metres (from centre post to centre post).

A Generator is more likely to be 1.5 metres long.

This is supposed to be about ~8 meters

I usually run the Empathy perk level 2, which has a range of 64 meters. It teaches me the way distance works in this game.

Yeah.. this games proportions are just a bit blown out. I'm running a simulation of an object moving at 4 m/s covering 8 meters and (obviously) it only took 2 seconds to cover but in-game you can probably cover that in a shorter amount of time. or maybe the angle is making it look like a shorter distance.. idk.
