Tips for playing as and against the Pig
New killer, lots of people have a lot of misconceptions about how she works and what she can and can't do. So here's some information and tips to help out both sides.

Playing as the Pig:
First thing to understand is that your traps are not the main attraction, they're your passive map control tool. You will rarely get a kill with them, by managed correctly they will allow you to dictate the pace of the game. Place traps intelligently - if you have multiple Survivors trapped, then you have multiple people you can't keep from removing those traps, but at the same time those people are not doing gens or destroying your totems. Remember, your objective is to kill the survivors. Trap and hook, then move on if no other viable target is nearby.

Second, her Crouch and Ambush. This is your mobility and chase initiator rolled into one. Use it to maintain pressure actively by making it so the Survivors never know if you're lurking just around the corner. Catch isolated Survivors by surprise and tunnel them down, ambush the ones trying to untrap themselves. Be active; don't stand around unless the Survivors come to you.

Playing against the Pig:

Open your eyes and ears. Pay attention to your surroundings and always play as if she were watching you. Don't run if you can walk or crouch. Pallet looping works, but be aware that once you get caught you will most likely be removed from the game and borrowed time and hook rushes may not be enough to save you if you get trapped and can't just waltz out of the gate. Play smart and PAY ATTENTION.

The Pig loves cocky, inattentive Survivors. Don't stand behind a pallet waiting to get the hit; use the opportunity to break chase and hide. You do not want to keep the Killers attention and the more time you waste the more likely you'll be camped out of the game since YOU are there and the Killer is now trying to secure as many kills as possible.

Usually I find when being ambushed it's easy to 360 the pig as usually the killers assume the survivor will run in an ambush.

I love the trap mechanic, adds HEAPS of tension. I this that she isn't as strong as the other killers however she would be more fun to play at times. For example seeing a survivor have no choice but to escape with the trap is hilarious.

I understood her mechanics right away. Sitting at R3 and just last match got a 3k with two of them running flashlights.

She's definitely about planning almost similar to Hag but more "action" based.

People really aren't getting that. You can't play passive with her unless your goal is to kill one or two specific Survivors. You must stay active, keep the pressure on and know where and when to be. If you don't do that you'll fail with any killer, but the Killers with limitless mobility like Nurse and Billy have spoiled people into thinking that going fast Is the only way to win and made them lazy.

Yep and NC works beautifully with her especially if they gather up for you to hit several of them. Kind of makes me think I'm playing Dishonored sometimes when using her.

Right now I've got: Enduring, Ruin, MYC, and NC. Pretty good build that's gotten some pretty good results.
