Honestly....I would love to play as John over Amanda in tems of Jigsaw killer.....

John is the mastermind, not the pawn. It had to be either Amanda or Hoffman.

Masterminds also get their hands dirty....first saw he didnt really have a pawn at all until later.

That was Amanda.
It's revealed in later films.

Saw films like to do that - "oh you thought this thing happened? no, no, no, no, no, what actually happened was..." and then to retcon their own retcon later.

John wouldn't fit in this game. He wasn't a mass murderer of sorts. He did it for a reason and always give his victims a chance to repent and escape. Amanda fits because she just murdered to murder.

I wanted it to be Hoffman so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. Think about it: (SPOILERS FOR THE FILMS) He was the first helper, he made inescapable traps, he killed at least a dozen people outside of the traps (including an entire police station to get Jill), he was a crooked cop,(As we see in the flashbacks with Gibson and Riggs) and he blackmailed Amanda into shooting Lynn. It would also make more sense lore wise with the Entity. His fate is unknown. Amanda died.

Uh.....no I got that but again he dawn the mask first.....unwinable and etc he was still a killer fam regardless if it was his devices or him personally.

When he kidnaps amanda and her BF? he wore the mask....in the new movie he also did it to survivers there was no amanda.

Everyone....watch the new movie amanda was not in it once it was (spoiler) showing him 10 yrs ago he is still fast and strong so him being a killer wouldnt change it.

The series lost my attention and patience before the last Saw film ("3D!" "6 or 9 or 15 or 2.5" or whatever they called it) crapped itself onto the screens.

To avoid SPOILERS I will change a few names, but...

Someone told me that Hufflepuff dies at the hands of Limping Man in Tights, who is revealed to also have been a Disciple of Jigsaw.
