Worse. New players have inverted the meaning. "Waving means save me!"

No. It does not. It means run away and do gens, I am being camped.

Too many of the new players think the opposite. Waving your arms to them means come and get me.

It is indescribably frustrating to wave your arms only to have the survivor to continue to unhook so you can get immediately downed and waste a phase.

I don't know where they got this idea.

It's feels like you are banging your head against a wall trying to explain waving arms mean camper/do gens, not save me.

If you wave them almost like you are about to kobe (grabbing the hook) is "Unhook me now/Come unhook me".I am pretty sure that even less ppl know that but I use it for that one player that will recognize it some time and come unhook me at the right time.

Don't rely on that. Often I can't do the small waving because of lag or fps drops, so I have to almost kobe or my survivor won't move a muscle.

As a killer to me esp if I JUST put them on a hook and they start doing it. Its like "Please stay near me! I love you!" Same if I just take the time to break a pallet/gen that is near.

I usually ignore whatever they are doing on the hook. If I'm camping you, you deserved it and I don't expect more than a 1k. If you're saying waiving means you're signalling to another, then you just added another tool to my belt to at least hit one nearby survivor while I wait till you die.

It convolutes a simple system as well. It doesn't need to be that complex. Waving and I won't come save you. Hanging still and I'll consider it.
