"no mither" pronouce. Please anyone english native speaker explain.
Since english is my second language I can't get it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTcddAJXoa4

At 1:24 David pronouces "no mither" twice differently. It is "funny" with subtitles in my native language but I really want to know what is the whole joke about. To be honest both pronouces seems okey to me (wouldn't laugh at anyone saying the first one), but second seems more corectly.

Best regards.

Logically it's the first prononciation. You pronounce the I in the way David King does at the second attempt only if the second letter after the said vowel is also a vowel. However there is, as every languages, some exceptions.

Mither : second letter after I is H, so it should be the first pronunciation
Miter : second letter after I is E, a vowel, so you should pronounce the I in the same way of the second attempt.

It's pronounced "my-ther," although depending on your section of London, you might hear the -th pronounced like a hard T, so "my-ter."

London's sort of jammy that way.

Because people dont know the word, so they probably dont know how to pronounce it. 99% sure its "No mai-ther"

There is or there ARE some exceptions ? I don't know, not my native language :HappySpider:
Pronounced my-ther. I grew up where this was slang.

The Mi is the same Mi as in Mid or Middle. Ther is like most other Ther and can be seen in the word Mother. So Mi from Middle and Ther from Mother.

It's my, not mi.
