Micheal is really fun to play sometimes cause when you level up your evil (by stalking them with M2) to level 3 you get NOED for a limited time.

I like Michael and also DS with Laurie, it's a solid option, but it's based on price

All chapters are the same price.

Note that, you can unlock non licensed killers. You have to buy licensed killers.

If you go by this logic solely, then buying a licensed killer is best.
-leatherface is king of camps but is easily looped and M2 doesn’t really get used
-pig’s secondary ability (stealth) is almost worthless. She is practically M1 killer and is easily looped. She can buy time with helmets, nothing special.
-Freddy is the worst killer but is enjoyable to play. Loopable and power actually hurts him, but can buy time.
-Meyers, useful, well rounded and semi viable. Can be used for mind gaming with his tier III and holding it until ready to kill survivor.

Or you can wait for new licensed killer, ghostface.

Actually, Freddy is not worst killer, that is now Legion.

Myers is probably the best of the DLC, I find the Doctor a lot of fun to play as too but he's not one of the best. Same for goes for Pig, but probably a little worse than Doctor. Avoid Freddy at all cost, completely worthless DLC for both survivor and killer.

Spirit is one of the high tier killers and she's super fun to play. She can phasewalk and become invisible, allowing room for lots of mindgames. She also has really OP addons if combined together, like mother's ring and prayer beads, which makes her power entirely silent and nearly triples your movement speed while phasewalking. Easiest killer to get gen grabs with.
Her perks are also pretty decent.

Pig is also fun to play imo, (albeit not being as strong as Myers and Spirit) you can crouch to remove your terror radius and move around, and while crouching you can ambush attack which gives you a long lunge with a burst of speed. You can even put reverse bear traps on survivors heads to distract them from their main objective- if the survivor doesn't get it off in time you get a free kill.
She also has a great perk called make your choice, which gives you the opportunity to instadown a survivor that rescues another off the hook for 60 seconds.

Myers is also very fun, because well, instadowns with stalking. :) Those three are my favorite dlc and I recommend them.

I would also recommend Leatherface PURELY for the perk Barbecue and Chilli. He is also pretty fun to do the infamous insidious basement camper build on.

I have BBQ from shrine already, so is the leatherface DLC basically useless?

Unless you want to play as him, (basically a lesser Billy) or you want the rest of his perks, then yes.

I would recommend buying either clown, spirit or plague.

The clowns ability is decent since you can slow survivors down in a chase and the fact that he can get his bottles back is really good, kate is also a decent enough survivor.

The Spirit, while she does have a high learning curve, can be devastating against survivors. her ability to cloak herself and play mindgames at pallets is great, but her vaccum-esk sound when she is phasing can be a giveaway in certain situations, also francis doesn't really have any good perks, the only exception being deliverance which can work sometimes.

The Plague in my opinion is the most fun to play since she vomits on people, that's about it with her lol. She is decent enough but definitely not as powerful as nurse or billy but her perks are decent.

BUT... If you enjoy torturing yourself, buy freddy and push through the pain.

Thanks for the opinions y'all, appreciate the help :) :luf:

Yep. Worst character in the game. Other perks are decent but nothing to sing home about. Bad price also, $5 for a single character. You have everything you need from him.

Only DLCs I would recommend are Halloween (Myers), Flesh and Blood (Hag), and Shattered Bloodline (Spirit).

Killer: The Shape (aka Myers)
  • Fairly diverse and fun Killer with base stats. Being a base Killer without a counter to looping, he might not be particularly strong, though that mostly just leaves him on par with most other Killers. The reason I recommend him above other M1 Killers is because he has a unique playstyle with some fun gimmicks on the side. IMO, Wraith and Billy are all I need/care for when it comes to standard Killers, but Myers is a good pick.

Killer Perks:
  • Save the Best for Last - Pretty decent perk for a good number of Killers, most useful for Spirit and Hag (since they deal most of their damage through M1s and don't always have to deal with pallets), or Killers with a consistent, on-demand instadown (which is really only Billy, and Myers for the most part). Though it's typically out shined by anti-pallet perks like Enduring, Brutal Strength (free character teachables), and Spirit Fury, as they end up being more consistent and generally more valuable. Still, for a somewhat niche perk, it's pretty good.
  • Dying Light - A perk that's as bad as it is toxic. Promotes you to tunnel/camp your Obsession, which is typically a bad strategy and isn't very fun for either side. Only worth bringing if you have an Ivory/Ebony Mori offering, or have a Tombstone addon on Myers, but might not be worthwhile even then, as by the time it goes off, the Survivors may have made too much progress for it to be worthwhile.
  • Play With Your Food - Very niche perk. Not very useful and never worth taking outside of gimmick builds where you really need it. Mandatory pick if you are playing Myers with either of his mirror addons. Aside from that... I don't even know. Maybe okay for Plague and that's it.

Survivor Perks:
  • Decisive Strike - Decent perk depending who you find yourself going against. If you often get tunneled off the hook, you'll get good value out of it. Also lets you make dumb plays with almost no repercussions for 60 seconds after getting off the hook.
  • Object of Obsession - Equip this and you're even more likely to get use from DS. Bane of stealth Killers but overall unless you're in SWF, not great. Also if you're versus someone like Nurse this'll just get you straight up killed. Otherwise just gets you tunneled.
  • Sole Survivor - Only good in gimmick... Actually, it's not even good in gimmick builds. Or any build. Bad perk.

Killer: The Hag
  • Can be strong but can also be hard to learn. Very few people play her. Seems quite a few people don't like facing her. Though be wary of discussions around her because I've met quite a few nay sayers that don't really have an opinion of their own to offer, they kind of just parrot the opinions of youtubers without explaining why they agree. Has plenty to offer as a non-base Killer for the right kind of player.

Killer Perks:
  • Hex: Ruin - Considered to be a mandatory gamble on most Killers, and there's good reason for why it's mandatory and why it's a gamble, like all Hex perks. The reason it's mandatory is because, to various degrees, no Killer except for Nurse can stand up to a group of Survivors that know to do gens and how to lead a good chase, without perk-related means to delay the game. Ruin is the most straightforward delay to gens and technically the most potent.
The gamble is that people may be able to just force their way through it, making it mostly a wasted slot. On top of that, it can be destroyed - and often will - because Hex totem spawns are god awful on almost every map. Most totem spawns are very obvious and most of the time, the totem corresponding to your perk will spawn next to Survivors.
Not a bad perk per-se, again there is reason why it's considered mandatory. It really can be a life saver. It's just that like with all totem perks, it might just be a net loss for you if you decide to take it.
  • Hex: The Third Seal - Decent perk but fairly niche. It counters already niche and weak aura reading perks and can cause some confusion to those who depend on them, though that's mostly only for people who are downed. Knock Out does a better job at that, and either way, both perks are useless against SWF, as they can always just guide each other over voice.
  • Hex: Devour Hope - Can be good if it stays up. Problem is getting to that point without it getting found, then still hoping it doesn't get found after your first hit at 3 tokens. Some people like it, better on some characters than others, but IMO, not really worthwhile.

Survivor Perks:
  • Ace in the Hole - For a gimmick, it's actually a pretty good perk when combined with Plunderer's Instinct or Pharmacy. Not bad on it's own either, just not good.
  • Up The Ante - Pure gimmick perk for luck based builds which will only really be for self-unhooks and chest searching. Not really worthwhile even for that, mostly just for fun.
  • Open-Handed - Again, gimmick perk for aura reading builds. Kind of a waste even for those. Pretty bad.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/925750/Dead_by_Daylight__Shattered_Bloodline_Chapter/?curator_clanid=11814497

Killer: The Spirit
  • Pretty good Killer. Don't play her much or hear much discussion about her, so not much to say. Can be difficult to learn and I don't personally find her very fun to play as or against, but to each their own.

Killer Perks:
  • Spirit Fury - Very good perk for base movespeed M1 Killers, though needs to be paired with Enduring for real effect. Some even consider it necessary to stand a chance when the Survivors are good enough.
  • Hex: Haunted Ground - The one perk where you actually want the Hex to be destroyed. Not really worthwhile IMO, you don't always get value from this perk, especially depending on who you play. While you could one-tap three people, you might also just hit nobody, or only hit people who are injured. Up to how lucky you feel.
  • Rancor - Decent substitute for BBQ and also not a terrible tracking perk alongside it. Being able to 1-shot and kill your Obsession might sound incredible, but it's really just another situational gimmick. All comes down to luck.

Survivor Perks:
  • Diversion - ...Yeah, it's pretty bad. It can have some use technically but it's not worth the perk slot. Really is just a meme perk.
  • Deliverance - It's alright. Not amazing maybe but not bad. Not much else to say.
  • Autodidact - It shines against Freddy, maybe. Not that great otherwise. Most of the time it just ends up being a detriment. You'll get a consistently better value out of Botany Knowledge instead.

P.S. Game goes on anniversary soon. Steam sales not far off either. Might just want to wait for those, the DLCs will definitely go on sale.
