The new hatch system + end game is completely stupid
It’s basically being held hostage for 3 minutes. Completely unbalanced. You won’t take too long to revert back the changes after people’s reactions.

Do gens, don't be seen, open gates and leave. Missing any of those objectives results in consequences.

That has nothing to do with the topic.

The origin might be legit, but the solution isn’t working.

Don’t worry survivors, just wait for the eventual second chance perk that arrives.

Or do gens. That works
Don't really care how unfun/unbalanced you think it is, it beats the hell out of hour long hatch standoffs. I'd prefer to just deal with this instead.

Hatch closed : you’re dead, nothing you can do.

Boring, pointless, badly designed.
You are not entitled to have fun every game.
Then why killers keep crying rivers about SWF because SWF games are stressful? You are not entitled to have fun every game.

Stupid argument.

Wel if the hacth is closed you deserve to die:
First you failed to complete the primary victory objective to finish 5 generators and open a gate as a team.
Second you failed your alternative victory objective to find the hatch before the killer.

Now you still have a tiny chance to escape.

Now lets see, what does the killer get if he fails to do his primary objective to kill some (on average 2) survivors before the gates open:
First nothing.
And second NOTHING.
But third is N-O-T-H-I-N-G.

It’s actually an awful update. It triggers so many unfun mechanics.

Things that happen now:

You get hooked when , he camps you and people just leave because they will die too if they wait too long around.

- you can’t escape once the hatch is closed.
- you get camped to death with no possibility of escapes because of the timer
- end game rescues and plays mostly gone

It looked good on paper. But it’s actually the worst update so far.
Use the red key, duh

The only thing they need to do is ensure that gates don't spawn too close.

Other than that, the update is fine. Chances are, the Killer is gonna look for the Hatch to ensure that you don't find it. While he's doing that, go for the gates. The opening time was lowered, so they now open faster. Killer so much as walks to the wrong gate, you're already home free.

Killer can't close the hatch and guard the gates at the same time.

endgame is fine. the hatch spawn soon, not like the update say. i have it the half of my games ... the last stand on hatch and wait that she open. and yes i see the hatch too in game with more then one surviver. so the last one has the option to get out. the rest is fine like other here say: no game hostage. it makes a cut and close matches past 2 min. some perks are bad with endgame but its the first time the killer can counter all the loopers, bagger, flashlighter, hookswarms, and other crap. killers must deal with all the buffs for surviver and nerfs for killers .... so surviver deal with the new endgame!

The end game and hatch system is actually good imo. It adds the stress and thrill back to the game when you're the last survivor. There is literally no negative thing about it, other than bad luck when gates spawn right next to each other with a mobile killer. But other than that, you win some and you lose some, the sooner you accept that, the more fun you'll have playing this game. Same goes for killers :papyrus:

I need to play more of the endgame, but one thing I think that needs to be encouraged is the killer actually closing the hatch.

At the moment some killers may not close the hatch and wait until they see the survivor because they don't want the survivor to be standing right at the exit gate ready to open it when they close the hatch.

So I feel as if the killer should have more incentive to close the hatch, so that killers close the hatch as soon as they find it so there are no more standoffs.

OR perhaps the hatch should auto close after some time. Can't really think of another solution to this new kind of stand off that is creeping into the game.
