It’s too hard to pip as survivor [red rank]

Got to rank 3 and stuck for 2 days straight... back to rank 4...

- Nurses
- tunneling killers so no alturism
- camping killers so no alturism
- 3rd survivor getting slugged and whispers tracked out.
- survivors DC’ing because they’re not red rank teammates
- Killers DC’ing when they begin to lose (because they can afford to)
- Teammates getting all the unhooks so you can’t pip
- no one getting hooked so you can’t pip

Probably black pip 20 times before I pip.

sounds like you're boosted or maybe .. now I know this is going to be hard to hear, you're not as good as you think you are. If you're finding it hard to "pip" it's probably because you don't belong in the games youre in. You should at least saftey pip. If you can't do that.. sorry to break it to you champ, you probably shouldn't be in those games in the first place and the only reason you are is because the ranking system in this game is a joke and too easy to climb placing people who shouldn't really be there if it was based off skill and a real MMR in high ranks.

I said I safety pip most of the time... I lose pips cuz the killers quit the match (occasionally cuz survivors DC’ed) and sometimes you’re “it” (the odd game the killer only wants you - maybe only you are doing gens - should I just not do gens if my team don’t? And how do I predict that exactly?) but survivors in my region are smart enough to understand we all have to hide and farm each other so chances of pipping are too slim.

Killer should be as easy as survivor pipping... not luck based at all. Think you’re trying to flex poorly. Sadly.

Let’s imagine you pip for dying, safety for getting hooked and lost a pip for escaping... you’d be probably think that makes sense too right. It takes some intelligence to know if the system is flawed or not... probably too deep for you to understand.

You say you want to rank up to be paired with your skill level but what you fail to realize is people of your skill level are stuck at the same ranks just the same as you. I have been hovering around rank 5 myself.

some games you just won't pip

sometimes an omegablink nurse with an ebony mori will mori you off hook and you'll end the game with 5k points. some killer players have small pps and run stuff like this and there's nothing you can do about it. some games you won't get any saves because your team is super altruistic or you'll be getting chased whenever someone's on a hook so you'll safety pip. other times you'll get chased all game and won't be able to touch gens. sometimes you'll have a teammate who runs the killer for 5 gens so all you get are lightbringer points with no altruism or boldness

my best advice is to just go next and hope your next experience is a more overall balanced one. in terms of specifics, try to be more willing to do different things in a game. get off whatever you're doing and run for a save as soon as someone gets hooked so you get altruism. be more willing to allow the killer to find you so you can lead them on a chase for a while. when none of this is happening, sit on gens

when it comes to red ranks you'll black pip more often than you'll pip and i think they intended for it to be this way. in order to pip you have to do a considerable amount of everything and this isn't always feasible. i think the best thing you can do above all else is not care about pipping

Read the comment just above yours... if the scoring doesn’t make sense - it objectively doesn’t represent skill level. I gave an example but DBD is pretty deep... sometimes going down on purpose has stopped my team losing.

If i go down under a pallet than use the pallet and someone can pallet save me... aren’t I wasting more time and getting more value from the pallet? Actions aren’t 1s and 0s.

You know sometimes streamers get helped by their fans in the games they play?

I could go SWF and win but I wanna do it solo assuming the game cared for solo play.

Emblem system is great. Way better then the cakewalk before. Its still way to easy to get to rank 1 atm. Im not a good survivor at all but i can reach it pretty quick each month solo. I think i should at best be rank 10 if the system was good and only very few players should be able to make it to 1. But as said before the main reason to lose a pip is dcers, The rest is on you. If you play solo you gotta be good at stealth. Camping means you got caught in the first place. Survivors saving faster is on you to unless they are making ♥♥♥♥ saves wich is just a testament to the lack of skil needed to get to red ranks.

It was a cakewalk before hand but they made the killer (3 perk) achievement hard while the survivor achievement is still the same, just escape.

Sometimes though the ranking system is kinda ♥♥♥♥. I've killed 3 survivors with hook, 1 escape and I get a black pip simply because the survivors axed them selves on hook with the last one getting hatch. I get we should hook them multiple times but when survivors run through escape attempts and don't struggle? What am I to do?

True - but still see tonnes of rank 1 nurses because there will be rank 4 survivors trying to win.
