Keys have a 7% chance of spawning in chests without Plunderers but using Plunderers increase it by another 7% equating to 14% chance total finding a key in chest using the perk. So on top of using Plunderers to find ultra rare keys, that's 29% total of likely finding an ultra rare key compared to a survivor who isn't using Plunderers who only has a 9% chance of finding one. Whereas Very Rare keys with Plunderers have a 38% chance of being found while a survivor who isn't using Plunderers has a 12% chance of finding a very rare key.
Good one!
It's not strong, it's stupid. As stupid as complaining about Moris when things like this exist.
Except survivors can reopen the hatch if they have a key for it, and you don't have time to be defending a hatch over a key when they can just open one of the escape gates if they aren't already open. Keys are awfully OP with Adrenaline & Left Behind.
It used to be that way.
Now the killer can't close it, Survivors jump in before the Killer can close it.
Edit: As well as: "survivors can reopen the hatch if they have a key for it, and you don't have time to be defending a hatch over a key when they can just open one of the escape gates if they aren't already open. Keys are awfully OP with Adrenaline & Left Behind."
