It's basically a chinese version but not as much as a rip off as you might think. I'd rather consider it pretty unique. It's early access so it has it's flaws but I can recommend it.
Other then that idk but I saw some beta footage of a game that was like DBD but very dark and in first person and you used cell phone to text other survivors
Forget what it’s called tho
Friday the 13th: Dead or dying
Evolve:Dead
Soul at Stake: terrible ping in all lobbies bc chinese, nobody speaks, almost dead anyway.
Last Year: Probably your best option, but you dont really get to kill anyone, they come back.
Deceit: Another okay-ish option, but low playerbase and teaming for ez wins
White Noise 2: Dead AF, even though I personally though this was an amazing game.
Hide or Die: Not out yet, but they changed it into a persistent world instead of a 1v15.
Friday 13th the game, don't recommended because of player database. Game is dead.
Deceit, Free 2 play
Last Year is similar to DBD in that they have a sort of similar lore, they're both in alternate dimensions with something bigger going on behind the scenes. It's less suspenseful than DBD in that there's no stealth, the killer knows where all the survivors are at all times and this information allows him to ambush them which can set up for a few jumpscares here and there. This comes with the trade off that the survivors can fight back with weapons like pipes and turrets and camera flashes etc. It's also much more consistent in that you play as established characters in a sort of 80's setting so everyone looks the part.
Hide or Die is a sort of battle royale version of the asymmetrical horror genre. You're dumped into a lobby with some 15 other people or something and one of you is picked to be corrupted into a killer. There is no way to fight back as a survivor until the very end final showdown between the final two players. Up until this point you have to completely rely on stealth and hiding otherwise you're basically screwed.
It's unique in the sense that in most horror mediums (movies or otherwise) the characters don't have access to a phone because quite simply a phone is overpowered. Hide or Die however, gives you a phone to start out with and you can use it as a flashlight to illuminate the dark environment you're set in as well as communicate with other survivors. This comes with the trade off that it makes you easier to find because the flashlight makes you more noticeable and the texting / comms capabilities you have create audio cues and noises which the killer can hear. Hide or Die unlike Last Year is not fully released yet and is still in some kind of beta so the information for the game is limited.
