not downloading help

this game says its 100% downloaded but it wont let me play. it says it still has to download even though its 100% idk what to do

Click the manage downloads text at the bottom of your steam client and you can see the actual progress there.

i did and it says the estimated time to finish is 1 year lolol. plus it randomly stops downloading from time to time soo :((

Oh you might just have to wait till it settles down, thats what I did when another game did that to me. You could try to switch your download region and then switch it back to see if that helps but I'd say just wait it out .

Is the meter moving extremely slowly? some games (for me at least) have a habit of getting to 100% download, then resetting the progress bar and it filling in really slowly for a second time. DbD is always one of those games.

yeah thats what happened. do you know how to fix it?

as long as it is moving, it should complete on its own, it may just take a bit. (around 10 minutes, normally). If its been that long or longer and there has been no obvious progress, then its doing something different than mine does, and you may need to google it or something.

What I have been told is to change the download Region until it works and clear your download cache. That's what the Support told me. After what felt like ages it worked. Another thing you can do is deinstall DbD and install it again.
