For the OP.
Perhaps you should try playing a different game if that bothers you soo much. Have you tried Civilization?
Alien isolation being one only ones I can think of
So you have to work around it if it bothers you that much.
-Play with real low volume (since the only thing you reaaaally need to hear is the terror raidius) or no volume at all.
-Assign a shortcut button to mute your volume. A easy one to push by reaction, i suggest the extra mouse ones if you have them. Then mute as soon as you feel like they are going to happen, like if you hide in a locker, playing against a killer which does not have terror raidius anyway so you can mute while doing gens, until you get madness 1. etc.
When those situations come by.
-Dont use headphones, use external sound.
-Play while listening to music, it may distract you enough while still listening to the game. As survivor its not an issue and i actually do that.
To be fair, i agree 100% with removing Exposed sound, but for other reasons.
Hope you find something that helps you. Cheers.
Edit: Also, i dont have a problem if there were an option for individually disabling them BUT i am afraid what would happen if Devs try to implement this. Sound bugs are a common thing in this game. x)
