Modify Red Stain

[PIPIPIPI PIPIPIPI PINGU PINGU]

I figured some streamers had a much brighter red stain when playing surv and were able to see it clear crystal through the walls. I managed to dig into some old forums and found a config to do it. It's just changing a file engine.ini from the game configs.
anyone heard of this being bannable?

It's not bannable unless you admit you were using it, so you're pretty much safe.

100% thats bannable and will be detected by EAC.
They just have their graphics on low or theyre using colour correction which is whitelisted since its integrated into a lot of Nvidia products and the such

Again, unless you admit loud and clear that you modified red stain to gain an unfair advantage - you're safe.

Devs keep patching Engine.ini so no one can modify it, but they didnt ban anyone ever.

Could have sworn that its been widely known and said by devs that modifying .ini files is a near instant ticket to the ban hammer

Just tweak your NVIDIA Control Panel Color Settings, maybe even your own screen if you wish.

Do you really have to ask whether being able to see things through walls without using any perks is cheating?

Do you really have to ask whether being able to see things through walls without using any perks is cheating?

I do. but I'm not the one wyho judges this. If people aren't being banned for this, it is not fair. Just asking if anyone heard of bans for this matter.

Playing on Low makes the red stain very bright and you can see it through walls and floors when the killer is close enough to the wall, as for the intensity you can use your monitors contrast/brightness/gamma settings, or windows itself or from your amd control panel but usually just having your quality set to low works very well. With the latest patch the red stain really stands out in the corn now, it's great.
