Did you get a screenshoot? I would heartily recommend you to send it to the devs. Its your personal information, no jokes with it.
recorded the entire game, don't know how to send it to the devs tho
You don't need the entire video, you need to take a screenshot of the chat and send it to the devs if you are worried that person is going to do something.

How can i send it to the developers tho
Seriously tho don't worry while it's Dev fault, most p2p games show ip address so no worries..it's really izi anyone can see your ip address with a free program so don't assume they are high tech aliens (but as I said stay away from area 51 events 😂)

But I'm not sure what type of a report you should send.

had a survivor say once "I got your IP" after hooking all of them. My response back was "...and I have yours." Worse thing that could happen is ddos, and even then you can just unplug everything and change some stuff. *boom* problem fixed. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, people on eitherside need to just learn to suck it the ♥♥♥♥ up. MP games are becoming aids anymore.

Nothing to worry about.

IP address is very public on the Internet.
For example every time you open a website the IP address is written to the server log files.
Same for multiple online games when connecting to a server.

However since Dead by Daylight is peer to peer meaning you connect to killer or KYF host they get to see your IP address.
And this will be changed once dedicated servers go live, currently in PTB.
After this change no one but the server will see your IP address.

Even I sometimes check killer/survivor IP address to determine where they are from or if I need to ping them using Windows to check for lag switching since you can't see ping after lobby (without tools like MLGA, which I am not using).

EDIT: Dead by Daylight also used to log IP address to it's log files but that was changed sometime after GDPR went live to avoid fines and give more respect to users privacy (I am guessing).

Thank you,now i will just avoid playing killer until they release dedicated servers

It works both ways.. If you are survivor you see killer IP address, if you play killer you see all survivors IP address while they are in your lobby or in-game.

Shouldn't quit until dedicated servers go live really..

You could always use a VPN. Not sure if that would work in video games but I assume it would.

That does work but if the server is far away from you that would significantly increase your ping.

From what I understand you can easily just turn your VPN connection off if it's causing issues and turn it back on when you are done with needing high speeds. If it's causing speed issues.
