ERROR: Your Steam status is currently offline.

I am getting this error while i am already online. I can't start dbd since yesterday because of this error. Anyone knows how i am gonna fix it?

I've noticed when I start Steam my status is set automatically to 'offline', no matter what the status was before I closed it, and I've got to manually put it on 'online'. Maybe this is related?

Got it once, try restarting your pc, worked for me.

I've had this before and made a topic on it. It seems that there is no solution per say except to keep restarting the game until it fixes itself.

No need to reset pc, just quit and restart game until you get in.

When you're in game and have seen intro movie, press Shift+` to try opening Steam overlay.
If not, launch steam as Administrator and launch DBD.
When Anti-cheat & DBD has admin privilege but Steam doesn't, Steam can't attach overlay so DBD fails to acquire Steam-related stuff like friend, etc.

go to steam tab, on the upper left click steam, then go offline, then wait for the steam tab to open again, then click steam again on the upper left then go online.
