I still can't drop survivors I pick up [SOLVED]

I decided to play some killer. been doing really nice lately. but to be honest, Im getting tired of not being able to drop a survivor when I pick them up. I came back to dbd like a week ago, and I was able to drop no survivors yet. Despite this I have witnessed and have been dropped on numerous occasions.

I remapped my controls a long time ago on the count that my good gaming laptop has a broken keyboard, and ALL ACTIONS ARE MAPPED. I haven't missed a single one. Why can't I drop a survivor when I pick them up?

Edit: I defaulted then remapped back to my set up and dropping survivors works now. Will confirm if it still works for the survivor side of things

the drop is R until you reassign it. I used to move the controls over to the center of my keyboard to save wear and tear on wasd.

yes so I reassigned it to p on my setup. it still didnt work. just veryified this in my last match.

Drop should be the same for Survivor and Killer. It's "R" by default. Maybe play some Survivor games and see if you can drop items with "R"?

yes ive been able to drop items as survivor, but not as killer

you cant drop sv if you are hugging wall. You need some room on left to drop the sv.

I have done it many times in open spaces too.

in fact I always try to move to an open area. Actually I just did it a few seconds ago (I always let the last survivor go if I win, couldnt drop this claudette in the middle of the street on haddonfield)

You keep having these mysterious problems. Please record your gameplay and show people what you're trying to do. Annotate the times that you're pressing the key, show your keybinds, and record you reassigning the key bind and applying it.

How about pressing the button to revert everything back to its default state? And then use 'R' like a normal human being...?
